A Must-Visit for an Unforgettable Night Out! As a traveler passing through Vancouver, Washington, my partner and I were thrilled to discover the Under Bar, Vancouver's only LGBT gay bar. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warmth and a vibrant atmosphere that instantly made us feel welcome. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced, and the bar itself had a cozy and inviting ambiance. What truly sets the Under Bar apart is its commitment to providing top-notch entertainment. The shows and events were absolutely fantastic! We were blown away by the talent and energy of the performers. It was clear that the bar puts a lot of effort into curating high-quality entertainment that caters to the LGBT community. Whether you're a local or just visiting Vancouver, the Under Bar is an absolute must-visit. It's a place where you can feel comfortable being yourself, enjoy great drinks, and experience some of the best entertainment the city has to offer. We can't wait to go back on our next...

It's early days, so I'll probably come back and try again but I wasn't blown away by my first experience. As we walked in there was a box fan propped up on the stairs, which is never a great sign and not great aesthetically. A large sheet of plastic covers the entrance to the kitchen which was kind of off putting.

The cocktails were a little expensive for what we got. One of the bartenders seemed a bit confused and had to get the help of another to make a drink. Solid selection of beers on tap, though.

The space is nice and the corner with couches was a nice place for our group to sit at. Tables with a seat on either side make up most of the floor and I can see this place being a good spot for a first date.

Didn't try the food so I can't comment on it but the menu looked good. It is a really neat space and I love the idea of an underground, speakeasy themed bar. New small businesses in our downtown area are always great to see.

I'll be curious to see how this place looks and runs when it's been established for a few months but for a first impression UnderBar kind of underwhelmed...

My boyfriend and I came to this bar last night. We ordered two cocktails and were charged $36 for them!!! We had gone to a different bar In Vancouver where we ordered those exact same cocktails (with same type of alcohol) we also ordered 2 beers each and an appetizer to share. Our total at that bar was 40. The fact that this bar (under bar) wants to charge almost the same as Brickhouse for literally only two drinks is straight up high way robbery. To make matters worse the drinks we ordered were not good at all. My drink was way too sour. The Bartender didn’t know how to make my bf’s drink so he told her. Specifically told her it was supposed to have Peach schnapps . He watched her make the drink; she put no peach schnapps In it. To charge THAT much money for a drink and than not be able to make a proper drink is incredibly disappointing. We ended up leaving and walking to tip top close by. We ordered the same exact cocktails with the same type of liquor and were only charged...

This place is a little hidden gem. It’s so nice to have a queer space in the ‘couve that offers great drinks and a cozy environment. Really excellent date spot! I’m looking forward to their events. My second visit was cut short by the ugly sweater bar crawl, which brought a lot of folks in who definitely disrupted the chill vibe, but the staff handled it really well, and it wasn’t their fault! Their holiday drink menu is really great! If you’re a gin lover, I highly recommend “The Christmas Card” which has barrel-aged gin and delicious warm spiced flavors, like cardamom! It’s not a sweet drink like many other “holiday themed” cocktails, which is just delightful, as I’m not someone who likes sweet- I prefer layered complexity, which this drink offers in spades. ✨

Update: Had to change to 5 stars after another visit. This place is such a hidden gem. New favorite hideout. Candlelight and beautiful couches make this small, intimate place great for private events. Great service, friendly/ experienced staff, and good food (try the fresh baked cookies, I highly recommend them). My only word of advice is to plan ahead for food. The small kitchen can make catering a large group a challenge. So make sure to call a head and allow them time to plan accordingly. It will help them provide you with better service and make your party more enjoyable. The food is absolutely top notch, if a little limited in selection. Creative specials, with themed drinks and rotating food items. Make sure to check them out!
