Broadway Grill — Restaurant in Veneta

I hadn't been to this restaurant since they opened. Everyone has been talking about how good the food is, so I decided to get a to-go order. I arrived 15 mins later to pick up my order. I gave my name and a lady at the counter went back to the kitchen to check on it. She came back out a few mins later and handed a bag to another waitress and said something I couldn't hear. I thought it was my order, but she headed out the door and gave it to someone outside. About 15 mins later the first lady came back and asked if I'd paid for my order. I told her no one had helped me and I still didn't have my order. She goes back to the waitress she handed the bag to and asks what she did with it. The waitress says, "you didn't give me a bag, you must have given it to someone else." They went back and forth for a few minutes. That's when I said, if that was my order, she gave it to someone outside. Ok great, my order has been sitting outside with a stranger for 15 mins. She retrieves it, says they didn't open it, hands it to me and says sorry. I gotta say, the whole experience was bad and the way it was handled was totally unacceptable. I should have just refused the food, but I was trying not to...

First visit per recommendation. Food: good! I had a salad (no meat but the vegetables & greens tasted fresh & the housemade lighter dressings were delicious! Tried both the berry and walnut parmesan options; made it hard to choose which one to enjoy but inspired me to try making my own variation!). Others in our party ordered shrimp tacos (which they had previously & loved. Good variety of complimentary , colorful toppings & flavor combo), and roast beef sandwich (everything tasted well made and real horseradish enhanced the sandwich perfectly).

Service: good. We wanted to substitute a few items on sandwiches/salads & were given suggestions for options available.

Seating: both inside dining room & plenty of tables outside with shade though it was terribly hot to be outdoors on our visit.

Overall: We love it when places make their own sides, dressings or food items. I was disappointed that they offered farmed seafood options when the coast featuring local sourced options is only several hours away. I'd return again to try something new & see if my rating...

A dsp and autistic child went there for food and there was a clump of hair in the food as well as a piece of plastic. I talked with them and they were also charged over $9 for something that was listed as $6 on the menu. The child did not feel comfortable speaking up and the lady (her name was Carolyn Curtis) was very rude. I decided to later call them back to speak to a manager about this issue that I had witnessed and the same lady (Carolyn) refused to let me speak to the manager and proceeded to hang up on me as well. I truly can't believe an establishment such as this would have such lousy cleanliness and such rude waiters. I would hate for another child to be treated that way so I will be continuing to try and bring this problem...
