Long Tom Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Veneta

Not gonna lie. Most of the staff are nice, and some if there working the bar? I'm out. they have a few kinks to work out of their system. the kitchen messed up my burger so badly. I get it new business in an old locals bar. But the food is way too expensive, especially if you can't even plate a burger. It's not the worst burger I've ever had. I'll remind you, "the longtom gril" hasn't been open that long. Pro tip the burger bun is supposed to be toasted, yaknow a little bit, but the patty was like charcoal, and for $23, it better be the best burger in Lane County the drinks aren't cheap either. Like i said, they have some kinks to work out in the kitchen. so I'm gonna give it a few more months, then we'll try again. but of the times I've had food in there, so far, I'm not impressed. I'd rather go to a spot in Eugene and know what I'm getting to the owners of "the longtom grill" I like y'all and what you've managed to do with the "yukon" but in a small town like Veneta OR, your charging protland prices this is just my opinion. I'm trying to be helpful and honest here. yall got some work to do and fast before ya tickoff...

I came here a week ago, and the food was definitely not the best. My friend had ordered a chicken wrap and it was so PLAIN! I would have expected some type of sauce, so that kinda ruined the whole wrap. I ordered a 8oz steak and the steak was super tough to chew through. I mean that’s typically expected at restaurants, which is why I prefer to just not even order steak from restaurants anymore. So that was on me. It was supposed to be covered in mushrooms I could hardly tell there were mushrooms on it. Absolutely no flavor to the steak either. I tried to use A1 for my steak and it was nothing but WATER! I tried another A1 sauce from a different table same thing! I ordered a drink from the bar, and while the flavor was there where was the alcohol? I know if you order a good drink from somewhere and the bartender did it correctly you’ll taste a little alcohol. The atom sphere was pretty nice! But way too loud. Either way I think I’ll take my money elsewhere. So people be aware of...

Everything we've tried, from their hand-cut steaks to the burgers, has been delicious and clearly made with care. And the staff? They truly make the experience. Everyone is incredibly friendly, attentive, and goes out of their way to make sure you have a great time, especially with the little ones.
