The Italian American Club actively serves the community of Venice in many ways. There social events are highlights for both seniors and young. They host the Italian Fest which is held at the Venice Airport Festival grounds typically in late February features carnival rides, music and of course a variety of Italian treats and dinners, all to die for. Unfortunately because of the Covid-19 impact, the 2021 Carnival as well as many of the social events, dances, theatre and Friday night dining have been put on hold until further notice.
However, the club recently reintroduced their popular Friday night dining from 4:30PM - 7:15PM by drive-up and pick-up only. No orders are taken in advance. Regardless, the fare is all home cooked full dinners for a very reasonable $10. Spaghetti, meatballs, sausage, Egg Plant parmesan, etc. including home made Italian bread, salad & dessert. Choose between spaghetti 🍝 and meatballs or eggplant 🍆 parm or chicken parm. Includes a desert!! The people are all volunteers and make your evening a fabulous night. The meatballs are excellente' and you get enough food for a take home. Our party of 4 sat at a table of 8 and we met some great out-of-town guests at the table for 10. Did I say Fun!!! Read moreThey just started back up with pasta night, but now it is take out only. Cars line up and they come take your order and then bring it to you a few minutes later. Since we are not members, the cost was $10 per dinner, versus $8 for members. One has a choice of pasta with--sausage, meatballs, combo or eggplant. All dinners come with bread, salad and cake. Portions were generous and the food delicious! All the volunteers are very sweet and proceeds go towards funding scholarships for local high school kids. Definitely worth patronizing--especially for a good....
