Wish I could give them 10 stars! The service is wonderful. Definitely family owned and operated, so you get a great feeling. The food is the highlight of this place. We started eating and forgot to take photos. So here is the review: Fish tacos reminded me of being on the street in Ensenada with my grandfather and getting the most delicious, fresh fish tacos, they were that good. Shrimp tacos: looked and tasted so good. The pickled onions were a great flavor layer. Fish burrito had everything you could want wrapped up in a huge tortilla. Bean and cheese burrito was a huge hit. The cheese was plentiful, beans fresh and homemade. The cheese actually stretched out of the burrito! That is the way a bean and cheese burrito should be!!! Seriously the food here is delicious. The Agua Fresca was strawberry today and wow! I have never had one so flavorful. Could have had it with some spicy mix on the rim, but opted for plain. Was not disappointed, rather was amazed at how fresh tasting it was, strawberry taste front and center. The restaurant location has been there for years, but this is a new owner and the pride in the food that they prepare shows. We will be back all winter! Give this place a try, you will not be...

Baja Bay Surf n' Tacos - A Must-Try Gem!

I've been coming to Baja Bay Surf n' Tacos for about two years now—basically since they opened—and let me just say, this place has absolutely won me over. At first, I’ll admit I was a little hesitant about the prices, but trust me, once you’ve tasted their food, you’ll understand it’s worth every penny.

Their fish is essentially fresh-caught daily, so the fish tacos can vary slightly from visit to visit, but that’s part of the charm! The flavors are always incredible, and you can taste the quality and care in every bite.

The family that owns this spot is from Ensenada, Mexico, and their expertise shines through in every dish they serve. Their authenticity and passion for the cuisine really set this place apart. If you visit, I highly recommend starting with the fish tacos—they’re nothing short of amazing, truly to die for.

Don’t skip the drinks either! They’re always refreshing and a perfect complement to the food.

Great family owned business with authentic Baja food right at the beautiful Ventura harbor! Friendly owners greeted us right away and were being really nice to another customer as we waited to order. Got the shrimp and fish tacos….yeah, they’re $8 each but they’re huge!! The shrimp in my taco were big fellas, not the wimpy ones you see in shrimp cocktail…and the crispy fish pieces were like “fish n chips” size! :-) Loved the sauce on the tacos, cabbage (yay not lettuce!) and the tortillas seemed homemade—thick and delicious. Chips and salsa appear to be homemade too. Yummy thick chips. Salsa has a bit too much spice for me but still good! Beans were OK (I don’t like cheese on my beans or watery beans) but rice was delicious with a lot of flavor. Portion size here is outstanding. Everything tastes like they use quality ingredients, too. Restaurant is going to be remodeled soon…including bar stools/tables inside and live music outside.
