Coastal Cone serves many flavors of ice cream including soft serve. After walking around Oxnard Harbor Village in a sunny day, it’s refreshing to have an ice cream break.

The service here was very efficient. Although the line is long, the people were served very quickly. Besides tons of flavor options, you can also choose different toppings as well. If you’re not in mood for ice cream, you can simply just get the plain Taiyaki.

The Dole whip specialty ice-cream product was really good (as good as the one you can get at Disneyland next to the Tiki-room). Even though they placed the chocolate w/nuts covered cones on top of our cups of ice cream instead of the other way around, it was good. My son loved his combination cotton candy and rainbow sherbet cup of ice cream, and my wife really enjoyed her mint 'n chip cup.

The problem is that this place is small, and and there were a ton of people there last Saturday all in very close quarters, some wearing masks and some not. While it was helpful that they blocked off one of the two entrances to their store, the one from the busy Harbor walkway, it was still crowded enough in the store to make you frustrated or even cringe. There was no effort to organize the line such that there were at least 6 feet between everyone in line. I probably won't come back there for that reason until the COVID rates come down substantially, or until the management/employees show they care more about enforcing social distancing more...
