I had a HORRIBLE experience last night. I wonāt EVER go back. I went to go have a drink, sitting quietly by myself. I look over and see that the blonde bartenders āfriendā was sitting at the end of the bar. He had reached next to him and grabbed corn nuts out of a basket at the very edge of the bar. I hadnāt eaten, so I walked over to him and said Iāve never been here before. How does this work to get a snack.? He asked my name.. ( to know which tab). I told him he said go ahead Iāll tell her. I said oh ok⦠Iāll tell her too. So I thought Iād covered my bases so far. So I ordered another drink, 10 minutes goes by and The Security guard walks over and tells me that Iām being asked to leave. So I got kicked out of a bar.. But would not offer an explanation., I was very confused because Iām nice and kind.. wasnāt bothering anyone, not intoxicated.. So the young man walks over and I told him Iām confused whatās this about? He said.. you went behind the bar. I said ok⦠Iāll respect that , signed and left as asked. In total shock.. I sat in my car like what just happened? So I called the bar ,and explained to the young man what happened ⦠I asked with kindness and respect..ll tell my mom. Oh ok⦠Iāll tell the world.
So no.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BAR. The other 2 East end bars The Garage and the Keynote are owned by wonderful people who truly value the Ventura east end community patrons. And would certainly talk to there guests..(neighbors) with respect before treating...

With just one pool table, and no sort of regulation on who gets next game but a chalkboard that is never updated ... well, let's just say I wouldn't plan on playing a game with a friend unless it's two in the afternoon.
Had them mix up a long beach iced tea and long island iced tea, and both of them tasted like they used rusty tap water as a mixer. And finally, you have the live entertainment, which could be a bit more ... lively.
The only reason they are getting two stars out of me is because they are the only bar I have seen in Ventura county with an air...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI began to frequent this bar when I first moved to Ventura - I thought to myself, "Wow! Found an Irish Pub, right off the bat." It now seems this Irish Pub identifies as a Cantina. Beware of any "Irish" establishment blaring Ranchero music on Parade day, St. Paddy's or any other day, for that matter. Expect the music you paid for to be skipped over and to find a hassle around every corner of the bar. Unfortunately, there is no Irish Proverb for this scenario, so,...
