I was really excited to try Luna Gill. Not many Mediterranean restaurants in the area. Last night we got take out. We ordered the Market Wrap with an upgrade to the Greek salad and the Sampler Patter with their traditional hummus. The space is nice and the staff was friendly and the food was presented nicely. Between the two items ordered, we tried their falafel, grape leaves, couscous, hummus, quinoa tabouleh, grilled chicken and Greek salad - a good representation of their menu.
SO, SO DISAPPOINTING!!!
Everything, with the exception of the couscous, was so heavily salted there were no other distinguishable flavors. The quinoa tabouleh was inedible, as was the falafel - nothing but salt. I managed to pick some chicken out of the wrap, it was OK. The grape leaves themselves were so salty it tasted like they forgot to rinse off the brine, while the rice filling had no flavor. The traditional hummus was also flavorless (do they even use garlic??) and the couscous was (oddly) lacking in salt and totally bland. If this is their standard, stay away - especially if you're concerned...
Read moreSome of the healthiest food you can find right now, everything here so far has been super fresh and high quality. The flavor of the meats is superb, the hummus appetizer is a really refreshing snack. The Chicken Wrap is amazing, and the white rice they give you with the dinner plates (either basmati or Jasmine) is always really good. The Italian vinaigrette they offer for the salads is also very tasty, and if you want to try something a little different try mixing in a little tzatsiki with the salad dressing, you will thank me later. My only real complaint is with the falafels, I feel like they are maybe a little overseasoned as the flavor in them is very strong, but that is also a personal preference so I can't deduct any points there. Overall, the place is amazing, and offers a wide variety of healthy dishes to keep things fresh and you coming back. Give them a try, you...
Read moreEDITED TO ADD: Gave this place another try upon my husband's request .... it's still the same bland, over priced food and awful service they've had since 2 years ago. Close down and let a respectable business take your place.
Prices are NOT affordable in the least. Even if the food was incredibly good (which it's not) the prices wouldn't justify the food. Period. Customer service blows (and that's using a kind word). Elder white guy in jeans stands behind the counter and literally does nothing. Fire him. If a guest tells you it's their first time, give recommendations, make them feel welcome. These are restaurant basics that even McDonald's can comprehend. Don't waste your time or your money here. They'll all be empty...
