Me and my family are here for vacation and leave tomorrow, We come from the Netherlands and came to Dan's because we read a lot of good reviews. My parents aren't the greatest English speakers so it took us a bit longer to order because I had to translate everything for them.
The girl behind register was super patient and nice and even gave us a discount on the specialty items even though we didn't have the online coupon or something in that sense, the food came out great and was delicious and we were having a good time up until this homeless (?) guy came along, reeking of alcohol and clearly not sober and with dirty clothes on. The guy was stumbling with his words and I couldn't make anything out of what he was trying to say, we clearly wanted him to leave and asked him to do so, he asked for a slice of pizza and we told him no as we were eating ourselves, he asked three more times before he left and cleaned some of the tables around us with a paper towel or napkin while growling some insults about the size of one of my parents.
I decided we had enough and we didn't feel comfortable anymore, I explained what happened to the guy behind the bar and asked for to go boxes, he apologized and gave me some boxes, we put our pizza's in the boxes and went back to our hotel room to...
Read moreI want to give it a higher rating, great location to downtown, but it appeared to be a bit sketchy. We went on a Sunday night around 7. The staff appeared to be overwhelmed. There were a lot of staff behind the counter (at least eight) and They were all unorganized. They all appeared to be tripping over each other. They were arguing and not knowing what to do. One African American lady finally stepped up and it appeared that she was able to handle things. Overall, their social skills were limited. Some appeared to be drug users. It just did not have a safe feeling. When we parked in the parking lot. There was a van that was all beat up and it appeared that people were living out if it. The front of the restaurant was stuffy and hot. The pizza was ok, nothing the brag about. The calzons were also ok. They did not come with warm marinara sauce like other pizza places. I had to ask for it and they only gave me a cold small salad dressing container size for two calzons.. The salad bar did not look fresh. It tasted ok. Overall, I left feeling like I had to watch my back the...
Read moreService: Lady was trying to be helpful with giving me good price options to order when I asked her what she recommends. However I didn’t feel overly welcomed. I ultimately ordered a standard item. The fact that they have a sign that says “$5 charge for whining got me a little bit irritated.” Overall got my food in roughly 25 min.
Bang for your buck: I do not think you are getting what you pay for based off of size and quality
Cleanliness: kitchen was moderately clean yet old. Floor and tables were somewhat dirty.
Food: quality is ok it looked like it was put to get her in a hurry with little care put into it. Taste was as standard as standard pizza is. It sort of reminded me of a better version of pizza hut but not as good as round table
Atmosphere: overall a very dingy and old location. Not a fan. A Better pizza place not too far...
