Mission Park — Attraction in Ventura

Great green space in the middle of downtown with a large historic fig tree area dates back to the mission times and was used for Gardens and other needs how much people can be a problem but the people that they have employed to a Raticate the homeless problem even worse they are rude And disrespectful to people that they assume are part of the problem I guess no one ever told the Ventura downtown partners and their ambassador program that you can kill people with kindness a little bit goes a long way but they would rather just throw their weight around and hope their rudeness and distain for people that are less fortunate will cause them to just go away sweeping the mess under the rug never...

I am not here Dent, brittle Weed among weeds Not here Palms fragrant with lavender Hair meandering through The pale grasses I can no longer remember I preferred all martyrdoms To this dry silent place

There were days when I feared My own blood. My eyes Became wounds. They devoured Me And the flies. Ten thousand Tangled devils. My palms scoured Dry and thin as communion wafers

Mission Park is located on Main Street across from Ventura Mission and next to Ventura Musuem. Although not a huge green space, it's large enough for kids to run around and for a picnic or bit of quiet time. Pick up picnic supplies at nearby Paradise Pantry or stop by after your free visit to the museum.

On Saturday, during the farmer's market, there are family activities and games available for families.
