UPDATE: well this place has gone further downhill causing me to adjust my rating lower. They no longer will deliver food to the table even though they give you a number tent. Food came out cold and with no obvious care to how it was handled. Also just watched some poor guy go through drive through and told to park in the #1. He's been sitting there waiting for his food for over 25 minutes. He got frustrated and came in. As he was asking where his food was, an employee went out to his truck to find the customer not there. I flagged the employee to let him know the customer is inside. Complete clusterf#€k. This place is massively understaffed and most of the people working appear to be very unsure of themselves. There is no sign of any manager here this morning. With the amount of traffic this place gets, they absolutely need to be better staffed. The late night crew is no better. The other night, it took 25 minutes from ordering through drive through to leaving with my order. Do yourself a huge favor and go to the other McDonald's on the other side of town by Tri-City plaza.
Food is usually good when they get the order right. If going through the drive through, DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE! About 50% of the time I go through and don't check the order as they hand it to me, they usually leave out one or more items out of my order. It sucks because I don't realize it by the time I get home which is too late to do anything about it. Today, they shorted me two hash browns which left that as the most expensive order of hotcakes and sausage I have ever ordered. Also make sure they put the lid on your coffee right. Read moreGood food for a fast food place but nothing really stands out from others fast food companies besides when they have their special yearly stuff like Shamrock Shakes, the winter custard pies and my favorite is when they do monoply game on boxes which I haven't noticed in awhile maybe they dont do anymore? The customer service is kind of crappy here though rude staff I've dealt with on numerous occasions. There is one white older guy who always runs drivethru payments in the mornings and he is so sweet, nice and always repeats your order back to you as well as tells you the price. There is also a white middle aged gentleman who works nights a lot, he is super chatty and friendly we always talk, makes me feel really welcomed there. Started when I had an issue with my Amazon return and I told him about it lol. I have had some issues with customer service here though. Also I believe it is the general manager maybe he is a younger guy I believe around late 20s or even way younger, he is super super nice and has on numerous occasions fixed situations for me. I am so thankful the manager here is a gem! I mean it is McDonald's so I understand the turnaround is insane for staff but please make sure you guys make it clear to your employes that customer service is what comes first well besides fresh food lol. So I will continue to come here as its right down the street from me but please McDonald's train your employees better as far as being rude, I get its not the best job but its better than no job. Read moreWhile visiting my facilities and employees in the Hartford, CT area, I wanted to buy the $5.00 McDouble Meal Deal at the 74 Reservoir Rd, Vernon, CT. McDonalds as it is shown on their website and available across the Country at every other McDonald’s. THIS MCDONALD’s OWNER, however, has decided to charge $6.00 for these meals and only allow the chicken sandwich for the $5.00 price. Pure greed apparently drives his decisions and he decided to charge additional for the McDouble Meal Deal so he gets more of your hard earned cash than morally priced McDonald’s restaurants elsewhere. Both I and my employees patronize McDonald’s restaurants for breakfast, lunch and, sometimes, dinner. We have a very liberal food reimbursement policy whereas we reimburse all employee food costs during the work day regardless of time, distance from home, quantity or cost. Our employees seldom abuse the perk and McDonald’s historically been one of their favorite fast food choices. Effective immediately, all of our employees have been notified we will no longer reimburse for ANY McDonald’s charges. We strongly suggest they make all purchase from other facilities. We suggest other current McDonald’s patrons evaluate the value of their purchases from such establishments as this and make whatever decisions they deem...
