Mike's Ice Cream Trucks — Restaurant in Verona

ZERO STARS! This company bailed on my wedding day. I confirm six months in advance, three months in advance, two weeks in advance and then a few days in advance and they never showed up. The event started at 4 PM, we confirmed 1 million times that you were coming at 7:00 PM. The party started at 4pm, they knew this and their company called me one time, and emailed me at 5:30 to ask if I still wanted you to come. AS IF I WOULD ANSWER during the wedding?!??! I have never been treated this way, and this was so disrespectful. They knew that they were supposed to be there. And best of all I called back a ton of times, emailed and texted and they never responded to any of my phone calls or emails on that day or after the fact and it’s clear that the company doesn’t care.

AND THEN two weeks ago, they send me a marketing email!!! How dare they after they let me down on the day of my event. I can’t believe that this is the only response (the marketing email) I’ve gotten since that day in October. No apology, no response, no email, no text message, no phone call, nothing. and STILL NOTHING.

I would not recommend this company to anyone, and that’s too bad because I own a private party business and I would’ve loved to have recommend them to my clients, but that’s definitely not happening now.

We booked Mike's Ice Cream for a party and scheduled for the truck to show up for a 1 hour appointment between 12pm-1pm. The day before our party Mike reached out to ask if he could push up the time to 11:30am because he had another job opportunity that he could not turn down to which we agreed even though it was the day before. Now the day of the party Mike contacted us again and asked if he could push up the time to 11am to which we disagreed since our guests would be arriving around 11:15am. At 11am we noticed the ice cream truck arrive and park up the block from our house to which we were contacted again by Mike stating his driver was there for the party. We once again stated that we agreed to the 11:30 time and our guests were just arriving. Now the truck came at 11:30 and the driver was great and we had no issues. At 12pm only 30mins into our agreed 1hour appointment the driver said to us that he received a phone call from his boss and said our time was up and it was time to go to the other party. We were extremely disappointed by the unprofessionalism shown and complete disregard for our appoint that WE PAID FOR! We will not be using Mike's Ice Cream again nor recommending him for any parties. Hopefully if you book him for a party, your party is the better opportunity for him and stays...

We booked Mike's ice cream truck for a block party. He arrived 20 minutes early before booked time, which is great! Only 3 children were available at the time to enjoy ice cream. About 20 minutes after he served them, he said he had other places to go to, and he assured my husband he would swing back around to our event before 7 pm (When I booked the truck, I emailed Mike stating it was a block party from 4-7 pm). I texted Mike's cell before 6 asking when he would return, did not hear back. At 6:30, we called him and he stated "the truck is in for the night, I have dinner plans so I am not coming back." He told us that I did not inform him it was a block party event, and that he understood this was a birthday party at 4, serve kids ice cream then leave shortly after. Never the case, I have emails back and forth with these details. We were bummed of course, as an ice cream truck was promised for the neighborhood! Mike missed out on a lot of business by not returning. Insanely unprofessional, will never book him again, and I would think twice before using his services. Plenty of other options out there!...
