Goldie's Express BBQ & Catering — Restaurant in Vicksburg

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Goldie’s Express on Pemberton Blvd. I ordered the bbq pull pork sandwich platter with fries and red beans and rice (like I always do) but when my food arrived, it was completely wrong. I politely pointed out the mistake to the cashier, but instead of fixing the order, she insisted I ordered bbq beans instead of fries. Then I was told I had to pay extra to get the correct meal. This was their error, yet they were unwilling to fix the issue and told me I can call in the morning to complain to Gary (the manager) if I wished. The staff stated that there was nothing they could do to correct my order and that it was my fault for not catching it prior to payment. I ended up leaving without getting what I originally ordered. I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects decent service or a basic level of customer care. I have been eating here for years and never had any issues with the workers or having an incorrect order that was not fixed. Very disappointing. Highly do...

By far, the best barbeque I've had. When I was 5 or 6, this restaurant was located on the bluffs of the Mississippi River. It was a house where you walked in the front door, sat down, ate and paid on the way out.My dad and brothers ate there whenever we went through Vicksburg. It was awesome. We moved around the country but made my way to Northeast Louisiana University to go to school. My dad and I left our home in Mobile and were surprised to see Goldie's. Tasted the same and brought back alot of memories. The ribs were fall of the bone awesome and their BBQ sauce was excellent. Of course, the side were great also. I live in Texas where they have great BBQ, but Goldie's ranks up on the chart also. Truly amazing. I gave a 4 for atmosphere...........I would have given a 5-star.........but I miss the house on the bluff with the company I was with. My 2 sons have eaten there to maintain the "family tradition". As athletes, they ate alot!!!! Keep it up, Goldies!!!!! A fine family...

I don’t know who Gary has on the grill during lunch but you better go take advantage of the opportunity before he finds out how much meat they are using for these burger patties! The BBQ is always gonna be great but don’t sleep on the massive double cheeseburger! It’s probably the best burger i’ve ever purchased through a window. And the seasoned fries are real deal! Taste like some you’d get at the fair or better. not to crispy and they are not just little pieces of the potato. No they are all full sized fries rather than a pile of sharp ends. Ok maybe a few bits a pieces but they are still eatable unlike some other places in a loves truck stop… Don’t let the line fool ya, they are quick and friendly so id give them a few bucks next time you have the urge for something worth writing this long of a review for...
