So there I was 9:55 speeding towards anywhere that had a hamburger, the icon of American summer, freedom, and the very thing I missed the most while on tour in Iraq. McDonald's is a little far of a ride but this location was totally worth it. I tried to stop at a closer place, Dairy Queen. When I pulled in and walked up to the door, the manager, instead of smiling, or so much as an acknowledgement to my presence locked the door, after glaring at me dubiously. But that wasn't what I really wanted anyway, so it was a small secret victory for me. I was craving McDonald's burgers, and this location was open to serve and just a little more out of the way. My first visit here was worth it. Professional, courteous, and pleasant staff at the late night drive through. I thoroughly enjoyed the speed at which my order of 15 burgers was ready, as this location was busy, but it was still super quick and efficient. I had my family at home waiting on me. I loved this location and ill gladly take the ride out there over any closer establishment any day. My order was perfect, of course I had to eat the hot fries on my way back home, childhood memories. :) Smiles all around. A final small victory for the day... 20 minutes drive made...
Read moreI had a disappointing experience at the McDonald's in Vidor this morning at 8:09 AM. Initially, I went through the drive-thru, but my order was wrong. After turning around and losing another 10 minutes going back, I decided to go inside to skip the line. However, no one at the front would wait on me, so I had to ask a lady in the back for help. She was clearly in a bad mood and agitated that I asked for assistance.
When I informed her that my order was wrong, she responded with visible irritation, throwing something in the trash as she walked away. Another couple asked for their orange juice, and she rudely told them to wait with a dismissive finger gesture. It was evident that she didn't want to be there and was frustrated with everyone.
Despite finally receiving my order and returning to my car, it was wrong again. Feeling frustrated and disappointed, I decided to give up and leave. This experience was far from satisfactory, and the attitude of the staff member was a stark contrast to the exceptional service provided by establishments like Chick-fil-A. It was clear that it was not her pleasure to serve, and the overall vibe was not welcoming...
Read moreEdited to add photo For starters, this location never has any food on the weekends, aside from nuggets and fries. I have been several times at 0420 on Saturdays and Sundays and one particular manager never has anything other than items listed above. 2nd, the coffee... You get 3 sips with the flavor and the rest is strong, unsweet coffee with cream taste. If I pay for extra carmel, I would like the flavor to be throughout my coffee. 3rd, today, the same manager greeted me with, "just so you know, we only have nuggets and fries" i replied i wanted cold coffee. He could have said then it was fresh brewed so I could have decided to waitor leave. Instead he rang it up and as he handed it to me, said " It's fresh brewed so if it tastes too bad let me know,( I am in drivethru on my way to work for 9 hours so when will I let him know), but there is really nothing I can do" .... This attitude and service is unacceptable from anyone, but as a manager, disgusting! I hope he gets retrained, at the very least. This is the only location open 24/7 but really should not be if food availability and service are nonexistent. I will be back at 2pm...
