This is gonna be kind of long but may be the most helpful review possible. As a disclaimer, I used to work here and have on multiple occasions. I don't currently work there. However, the store manager has changed since then.
Want fresh food that is hot and semi fast? Come inside during the morning shift or go when it is absolutely dead at night or in the evenings when it is dead.
I would not recommend the salads most of the time. If you are positive that is what you want ask for your chicken to be freshly cooked but you will be waiting a while. If you do that DO NOT go in during a rush or you will be waiting FOREVER. I used to make them and I will tell you now sometimes people forget and sometimes you have to wait for space on the grill to open up to make space for your chicken.
If she is still there Jessica is the best manager they have from the last time I was there. She is super nice, funny, and polite. I don't know much about the current store manager but she was a sweet lady when I went there.
If you want onion rings. They cook them to order and generally wait until your car is at least close to the window to make them otherwise they will not be very good at all.
If you want something specific about your burger make sure they read the order back to you. They are supposed to do it anyways but sometimes people are new and don't know.
If you go in during the evening keep in mind it is mostly high-school kids. Not just high-school aged kids but they are literally still in school. Expect friendly but not super professional.
If you want shakes or malts understand they have to take the machine totally apart every single day and clean every single piece of it. You may or may not come in while that is happening.
If you want fresh chicken strips either ask for them to make them for you or wait until you see them make more then order them.
If you go in during the overnight shift keep in mind in general there is 2-3 people there. 4 at most if you're lucky. It may take a while to get your stuff.
All in all even not working there anymore I know when I go in I will have fresh and high quality food. At least as good as it can get when considering it is a fast food place. It isn't even that much of fast food. More like kinda quick.
BRING THE CHILI CHEESE BURGER BACK!!! even though I know it won't happen it is...
Read moreThis location is lacking. Franchise owner or Whataburger needs to get on this right now this particular location is working hard to exceptionally diminish the brand.
Extremely long wait time in dining room service. They were not busy yet there were plenty of Staff behind the counters. At one point saw the orange golf shirt "manager" walking around behind the counter. Again there were at least six people behind the counter. The person who was mopping the floor when I came in said oh give me a minute and I'll get to you, she went back, and took my order and did not return to her mop. I sat near it on the dining room floor.
I went to get a drink and a group of 6 year old kids spilled their drinks all over their food and the floor. This made a serious immediate hazard, one other person came out to look at it and said oh I'll get to that. Again keep in mind the manager was behind the counter and they can see out the little window near the drink station. That mess remained on the floor and a hazard for at least 5 minutes before somebody came out and it was a different person than the first one who had been mopping the floor and they had a different mop.
My observation was just a real mess with Personnel there. The food was not Stellar the onion rings were just okay and the burger was ok. I supposed my order took an additional 10 minutes to complete with all the people behind the counter because I ordered onion rings instead of French fries.
Will not go back to this location ever for any reason. The other Whataburger experience that was completely lacking here! The availability of condiments they had zero condiments available and it might be because they are getting stolen or homeless are using them and eating them who knows but nobody offered me any condiments and when I asked I said yes I'd like ketchup and one spicy ketchup, I got two regulat ketchups one of which looked clean and the other nasty, sticky and dirty why you have been stepped on. I didn't even want...
Read moreThis Restaurant used to be run by some Amazing employees. The kids hired now are lazy. I went in yesterday and nearly every table was filthy. In order to sit at a clean table, I had to grab a wash cloth off of the counter and clean the table myself. I counted at least seven people behind the counter. When I walked into the restaurant there were two employees sitting and they were probably on their break. Other than that there were no other people in the restaurant eating. A few other people came in and got to go orders but an elderly man came in and set behind me. As I was sitting at the table I noticed that there were ants crawling on the table in front of me. This place used to be Tip-Top and the service was always great. Whataburger is my husband's favorite place to eat. The old staff knew exactly what he wanted and how he wanted it. Now when you get your food, the sandwich is either wrong or the me is half cooked or the meat is cold. Yesterday I had the Mushroom Swiss burger and I was very impressed with it as well as the fries. My biggest complaint was how filthy the restaurant was. The guy standing behind the counter wiping trays took forever to walk to trace down and put the little paper mats on. It should not have taken him that long it was only because he kept having conversation. When someone walks into a restaurant the first thing that should notice is how clean the tables are in the floors are swept. The trash should have also been taken out. When there is a dead moment like that that is the time to start cleaning up. The trays are the least important thing that's can be wiped off in a second. They need to step up their game soon or they are going to lose business. This is one of the best hamburger places that we have besides Susie's and...
