Update: After speaking with Brian the manager, we returned to Applebee’s and had a much better meal where the food and service was 100% better than what we experienced on February 14. Brian took the time to make sure everything was done properly and apologized for the bad experience we had. Brian was a good representation of what a manager should be an expressed his apologies for the bad experience. We will be going back.
Went to Applebee’s on February 14, 2025 ( Valentine’s Day ). We did expect more longer than normal weight. Upon arrival I was told it would be about 20 minutes for a table, after 30 minutes I I inquired and they said it’s gonna be about a 45 minute wait. At this point I asked if there’s a way we could at least just get a table. At first they said there was nothing open, but I had to point out that there was three empty tables and two empty booths. they seated at a table, our waitress, very polite very friendly. Let us know that it would be an hour wait for our food. We figured it would be OK. We could sit and talk whatever. Hour and 25 minutes later we get our food. My burger was cold even though she said the cook said it just came off the grill. It was cold. My fries were cold not to mention I only had about 14 french fries but they were cold. The prime rib dip that we got was extremely overcooked and cold with about 14 french fries. Informed the waitress that the food was cold. She asked if we wanted to them to remake the food and I said nope, after waiting this long to get cold food, I don’t want to go through this again. She was nice enough to bring us another order of fries which you would figure an order of fries and have enough for two people sadly, it was not it was about 20 french fries. At least they were hot. I asked for a manager, the manager never showed up. We get our bill $46 for cold food and two and a half hours out of our evening. I understand it was Valentine’s Day and we anticipated a little bit of a weight but cold food absolutely not especially after waiting so long. The waitress didn’t try to make things any better by comping a couple drinks or whatever, management never showed up. Not only did management not show up, but I also called the next morning left a message and to this day I still have not received a call. Great job Applebee’s. so, with that being said, I do not recommend this Applebee’s location, especially on a...
Read moreMy colleague and I have visited several times and typically service is adequate as is the food. Today, 7/18/25 we arrived at about 2:05 and were seated in the bar area. No mention of any items excluded due to having ran out. The bartender/server greeted us, asked our drink orders and brought those. Still no mention of lack of certain items. When she returned to take food order, about 2:25 at this point, she shared there was no Alfredo available. Ok, that was what my colleague wanted to order. We'll pivot. Another 10 minutes and attempting to order again, asked if we can sub a salad flavor on the 2 for 25, (a 49 cent difference, mind you). The server immediately said, they won't let me, I know they'll say no. I asked that she ask anyhow, since there were only 2 items on the menu that my peer liked and it was no fault of ours that they didnt manage inventory properly. She rolled her eyes, went to the back, no manager came out, server returned and said, "yeah sorry, she said no"
I said, had we been told upon arrival that the item was unavailable we wouldn't have wasted a full 30 minutes and just went elsewhere, which is what we ended up doing after 35 minutes spent there. The problem wasn't the shortage, it was lack of communication upon arrival, acting put out when asked to make it work with something else and the flat out no.
As someone that has worked in leadership for over 25 years, the manager should have made the exception and ate the 49 cent difference. They should have also made the attempt to come out to the dining area and explain their decision. I know I personally have the latitude to make it right for my clients when we've missed the mark, seems odd that Applebees doesn't do the same. Needless to say,...
Read moreI waited for 10 minutes in the parking lot for a to go order and no one came out. So I just decided to go in. I requested to put my order in to go and the greeter gave me a menu and told me to put it in at the bar. Looking over the menu for a while I was ready to put my order in which there was a man and woman bartenders there totally ignored me, never ask me could they help me or did I even want a drink. Finally another customer said You need to get her order and at that point I said did I do something wrong? Now frustrated at their behavior I ask for a manager. This really nice lady came named Dawn said she came to help me who I thought was the manager I requested only to find out they never got the manager. At that point I ask Dawn will you get me the manager. The manager was very professional apologizing for her employees lack of service and explained to me this should of never happened. Thank you Nicole I left hurt but feeling at least someone cared to hear me out and tried to right the wrong by paying for my meal. No one should be ignored and treated for no reason like I was treated that day. Dawn and Nicole you are Applebee's outstanding employees of the month others should follow your example of customer...
