I have ordered from Leo's before and everything was great! I've dined inside and the service was great! The food was fresh and hot! However, I was very busy today 4/18/22, and needed to eat! I was in an office and couldn't call to order, so I ordered ONLINE! You would think it would be easier....IT WASN'T! I arrived to pick up my order and go to the drive thru...I didn't see any other cars in line. At the speaker, I tell the "server", I had ordered online and had already paid. She tells me that it wasn't ready yet and to pull around; that there was "someone in front of me". I pulled around to the window and no one was there. Now, granted I only waited 10 seconds, but I wasn't sure if THAT was the right window. So, I continue around the building and see a 2nd window. But, that window was basically "boarded up". So, I go back around the building to the first window. STILL, NO ONE THERE!! I see where the parking lot had parking slots for pick up. I pull into the first one and wait. While waiting, I made a slo-mo video of the snow coming down. I send it off to a few friends. I figure, my food should be done. So, I call...same monotone person answers the phone. I tell her I ordered online and where can I pick up my order? She tells me the same thing she told me at the speaker! 🤔🤔 Ok...so I tell her I went by the window and no one was there. She tells me to go around again! I go around, skip the speaker and go to the first window. A person comes to the window and hands me my order. No smile. No friendliness about her at all. I understand, we all have bad days. However, when you have a job that requires you to deal with the public, you should at least TRY to smile a little. If you CAN'T do that, FIND ANOTHER JOB! One where you don't have to deal with the public! Moving on.... I drive the short distance to my destination and pull out one of my Coney Dog's. It was absolutely DISGUSTING!! The hot dog was so hard and dried out; I thought it was a "smoked sausage"! But, because I needed to eat something, I ate 1/2 of it! I checked the 2nd Coney and it was the same!! I ended up trashing everything! There is NO WAY that my order was FRESHLY made!! So, why did I wait so long? It makes no sense!! DO...
Read moreThere's a lot to say about Leo's being that I've been eating coney island since the early 90s. I usually don't set out to do a review, but this time I have. Mostly to teach the cooks what they should already know. To be clear I will eat there again for sure, Now. For fux sake, it's just chili cheese fries and coney dogs , damn! For the love of gawd, stop adding more mustard, onions, and cheese to compensate for the shortage of chili you keep serving people. No one ever says give me extra mustard for sure, so stop with the mustard, no one wants heavy mustard, one to two lines, that's it. Stop with the heavy onions. Look, just sprinkle some onions and let it go. No need to double back. And let me ask for extra cheese on my dog. You'll overload my hotdogs with cheese but barely put any on my fries. Listen, a chili dog should be just messy enough to not want to pick up but you can if you really wanted to and it may drip a bit, and just little bit of chz onions n mustard then let it go. Look mannnn, just cover my fries entirely with chili and about half that amount in chz, then let it go. It's not that hard. Do better or pray that one of those small shops don't pop up near by, trust and believe majority of those little small shops in the bigger cities already...
Read moreMy husband and I have been pretty big supporters of Leos in Birch Run for years. The first week they opened we ate dinner there every night, and even now with the pandemic we try to support them even more. When we found out that they were putting one in clio we were ecstatic!! We have been there probably 10-15 times since they opened. Im a huge village salad lover and everytime I get it is always different, sometimes it has chickpeas, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it has banana peppers sometimes it doesn't, we have had several experiences with less than what I consider leos standards and I have never once complained because I'm human and I know mistakes happen. However today I called to place an order and the lady that answered the phone was extremely rude and slammed the phone down and I could hear her talking to another customer on the phone and was rude to them as well. I decided to hang up the phone and not place a order and probably will not order from Leos of Clio again. The birch run staff has ALWAYS gone above and beyond everything we have been there so I guess from now on when we want leos we will just drive the extra 10 minutes and get it from birch run were they actually respect and treat their customers like human beings and not like...
