I am going to start this review by saying I may have watched too much Kitchen Nightmares, but this is my review. The deco is well thought out & simple. Music is not too loud. However I forsee issues with management & the kitchen as there was some discourse in the front of house and ultimate decision and policy making.
I have to give props to most of the front of the house. The hostess is very young, is trying her best to understand her job, is not afraid to ask the waitresses questions but she shouldn't have to if 1 of the 4 owners would be on in the front of house shadowing & helping her. The waitresses know what their doing and will gladly answer any questions even when they are crazy busy and overwhelmed. The kitchen needs to bed reminded that voices do carry through those chase doors as when I was being seated, I could hear a few choice swear words from inside.
Food wise: Brama's has an interesting menu and I hope to explore more if it. Tonight though, I had Chicken parmesan and the pesto garlic bread. The pesto bread was loaded with onions and was lukewarm in the middle. The chicken parmesan was just very basic, like I could have easily made this at home. The garlic bread was swimming in olive oil--like they literally toasted a piece of bread & the dipped it in a bucket of ...
Read moreTo start with, I know it sucks to have to compete with Pizza Hut and Dominos. They can afford to make these pizzas at half the price. But they also just make better pizzas than this one. I just went for a one-topping hand tossed large pizza with their signature sweet sauce, and I got a pie with a pretty uniform inch and a half of dry crust, lacking any of the chewiness I tend to expect in a well worked dough. Then there was a relatively thin application of their sweet sauce, which was surprisingly flavorless, except a little sweet. I guess I was expecting a little bit of heat to complement the sweet, or something to make it taste a little less like Middle School cafeteria pizza, given they made a big to-do about their sauce. The cheese was nothing to write home about, but it did the job, and the toppings were laid out fine, if you ignore the fact that I paid for two cans worth of olives to get a handful. I know I'm coming down hard on this pizza, but it's the most expensive food item I've had in months, and it only made me regret that I didn't go to a soulless franchise. Charge...
Read moreWe made a reservation for 5 on a busy Friday night, we've never been inside the restaurant but have had the food through take out. First glance it's a strip mall, but once you're inside it's homey, warm, classic Italian place. I had Chicken Alfredo with crispy chicken, the Alfredo sauce was thick.. Like sick to the fork thick! Absolutely home made. None of that watered down bull mess from a jar, I have a toddler who likes Alfredo and the waitress made it known it would be no problem to have spaghetti with white sauce. My husband had a pizza, and will be eating from it for days. Our waitress Cassie was attentive and answered all the questions we had. She came back when we needed her even though she was very busy with other tables, she never let her stress show. I met the owner, Stan and gave him high compliments. We also met Will the chef and praised him as he should be! All in all, we'll be...
