Carol Ann's Pizza LLC — Restaurant in Village of Richfield

My husband has tried the pizza here and was excited for me to try for my first experience with Carol Ann’s Pizza. This is a new style of pizza, and I have never had anything quite like this. We had a small pizza, regular crust, mushrooms and cheese. The sauce was a perfect balance, the crust was sturdy and held the rest of the ingredients as a crispy crust that did not fold or collapse while eating. As the safer at home ordinance was still in place, we decided to take a drive and knew when we called in the order, we were just going to enjoy the pizza in our vehicle. When I entered the restaurant, everything was clean and minimal. The young lady at the counter was super friendly, smiled, and was professional. I asked about paper plates and they had already made little packages of plates and napkins to go for a small extra charge. Unfortunately they only had caffeinated soda and no water, but that was not a problem as the gas station was across the road. This pizza was soooooo delicious! I enjoyed every bite and stopped myself after three little pieces so as not to pig out and eat more than I should!😂 So impressed and looking forward to visiting again soon! This review is the direct result of a phone order placed 2/24/23. My husband called to place a delivery order for that evening. When the phone was answered it was that of a young person. He could hear a lot happening in the back ground, a lot of young voices, a lot of laughing, a lot of loud talking. He told the employee what he wanted on the pizza and asked if they had canned mushrooms. The employee said they had to ask. Instead of putting the phone on hold, he could hear the employee ask those near him/her and make fun of the canned mushroom question. The employee came back to the phone and said they do not have canned mushrooms and my husband told the employee he knew, he heard the whole conversation. The employee then stammered through an apology. Then he gave his address and there was so much noise and chaos in the back ground that it could not be heard. He asked how long for delivery and they said 1-1.5 hrs. He said nevermind we will call back if we want it. We opted to go get something else. While he was gone, the pizza was delivered. The whole process was ridiculous and unprofessional except the lady who delivered, she was very sweet. It’s time to retrain some young people at this store. So...

First time pizza pick up order at Carol Ann’s. We are new to the area and decided to give this pizzeria a go. We were told 30 minutes and our pizza would be ready. We had a little drive to get there from Jackson, but our friendly order taker said no problem, we will keep it hot right on top of our oven. It was so! Arrived to find a friendly face and our pizza ready. We ordered DICED onions and green peppers (not sliced) as well as black olives and pepperoni. It was prepared exactly as we asked, and done to perfection! I wish we would have taken a pic, because this ‘Za looked as good as it tasted. Not too much cheese, not too much sauce. (My wife likes a lot of cheese, and I like more sauce). The crust was delicious and tasted home made. Perhaps a pinch more salt would benefit, but that is splitting hairs. We will definitely be back.
