Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Vincennes

I was craving LJS. I had to wait to order in the drive through but I could see one person inside through the window ordering so I thought, “no big deal.” After fifteen minutes I finally ordered and pulled around. Another 15 minutes go by, no other customer are around now. I really thought “Should I just drive off?” I decided I’d give it five more minutes. Someone finally came and took my money and then told me “I’m sorry it’s going to be a few minutes.” What. The. Heck. TEN MINUTES GO BY. At this point I’m just mad at myself and thought to knock on the window and just ask for a refund. But they came. My Dr. Pepper was incredibly flat and tasted rancid. My cod looked and felt like rawhides. I asked for tartar sauce and they seriously gave me every sauce but that one. At this point, I’m beyond mad. I expressed it to the lady at the window and she replied with, “Yeah tonight may be my last night. This is bad.” SO I decided to call their corporate office. I called and it was after hours and prompted me with “Please press zero to leave a message.” I pressed zero and it told me my selection was invalid. This company is horrible. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I’ve had worse food, but I have never had service so bad that the employees openly admit they...

Sometimes... I NEED to have Manna...

... and every single time I NEED Manna that Reminds me of that particular line of my Ancestors that came from Great Britain, Ireland and Scotland...

... I go to Long John Silver's in Vincennes.

I can still remember my first visit to a Long John Silver's...it was somewhere in Southern Illinois... maybe it was in Mt Vernon or in the vicinity of there... you see, it was a Long Time ago.

Our little Family was Famished for Fish 'n Chips and we had just finished sight-seeing along the Northerly edge of the Shawnee National Forest...

Long John Silver's was New to us and we weren't disappointed in the Quality of the Fish...or the Chicken Planks, either.

...times have changed much since that first visit back in the mid 1970's, and with the Ravishes of the COVID situation, perhaps the franchise in Vincennes may need a little more Love before it is Restored...

Until then, we should be have Patience with the Staff having to try to Rise Above the Challenges they face to serve...

... because the Manna that they Prepare is yet so very Special to so many other Folks besides myself.

Got no honey mustard despite asking multiple times for it. My mother’s giant fish sandwich had only one peice clear cut in half and made to look like two. It takes a pretty lazy staff with no work ethic to pull a trick like that. I ordered a Giant Fish Sandwich, not a Giant Bread Sandwich.

Let alone what happened to my grandma she bless her heart was given unbattered fish on her sandwich utterly useless. I will not be dining at the Vincennes Capitan D’s until I receive a refund or treated with the respect deserving of my status...
