The restaurant is located a few blocks deep in the West Village complex, with some street parking and free covered parking just around the corner from the restaurant. Inside, the space was quiet and even serene when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. I was surprised to see that the fried calamari was listed as gluten-free on the menu, since most breaded seafood isn't. While tasty, the batter was a little crumbly and my husband, who prefers his calamari on the smaller side, was a little weirded out by what he called "the big, juicy squid rings". The serving size was less than what we would have preferred, but given the price, it's all right as a starter. Our entrees were where L'Thai shined. The husband's pad woon sen was tasty - hot, well-seasoned glass noodles with good hunks of chicken throughout. While his dish was great, we both agreed my order of the yellow crispy chicken reigned supreme at the table - a crispy filet of chicken breast atop a fragrant, vegetable-specked puddle of yellow curry. The fresh (gluten-free) coating stayed crisp as I dragged happy spoonfuls of rice through the sauce until every last drop was consumed. As an added plus, our meal ended up being far cheaper than we expected it would. The menus don't currently have prices because the owners are in the midst of reprinting them. Our server offered to let us know exact prices if we needed, but we decided this would be a fun guessing exercise. When we got the check, our jaws dropped at how economical our meal had been, especially given the taste and the sublime service we'd received. Side note: There's a funny dress code here of no gym shorts or sports wear. I haven't seen it enforced, but there's clear signage out front and figured you should know if visiting.

So this was my third time going to this place. The first two experiences were amazing. However, this last experience was horrible. When I first arrived, it took the waistress a good minute to acknowledge me .. Then she asked me if I was picking up.. & I told her that I was ordering food. So she then proceeded to point me to the directions where to order the to go order.. She then asked what I wanted to eat and before I could answer she got really loud and impatient.. I then said I’m not sure, she then rolled her eyes and walked away.. she was very RUDE!! .. When I got my food, I tried to explain my frustrations to her coworker of how rude she was.. The coworker then proceeded, to justify her coworkers behavior. This is my last time going to this place. Service goes a long way and a big factor . There are soo many other Thai food places that have amazing service. Also when I got home and started eating my food, I notice that a crack shell was inside my food. Won’t be back!

This hidden gem is the perfect spot for lunch or dinner!! The food is exquisite and fast. Yoko is one of the best servers as well as the rest of the ladies! They are always making sure everyone is taken care of at all times!! Don’t walk, run to this beautiful establishment. I try and make a visit at least twice a month!

Update: Ordered To-Go food last night 3/26/22 after such a pleasant experience and had a less than pleasant experience from beginning to end. I couldn’t get anyone on the phone to verify the spice level of the food before placing my order so I proceeded to order online. They are still short-staffed so it took over 30 minutes to receive my order. I ordered two soups, two entrees, jackfruit sticky rice for dessert. Our food was too spicy despite choosing (no spice) and I’m convinced that we received a lunch-sized portion of general Tao tofu despite paying dinner price. I called this morning to express my concerns to be told there’s nothing they can do despite being short staffed and offering subpar service. Finally, after expressing that paying $50 for food you’re dissatisfied with doesn’t feel good and that I’d like a remake, she agreed to remake the curry for a less spicier curry but not the general Tao, because they “count the pieces”. You’re short staffed! You can’t answer the phone bc you’re short-staffed. People are sitting around waiting for orders that have been ready because you’re overwhelmed and short staffed. I have understanding for that but, You don’t think mistakes are being made while you’re short-staffed? So disappointed by the lack of care for a dissatisfied customer.

If you come, maybe dine-in for better service, because to-go is a no. I don’t think I’ll be returning

I dined here a few times back in 2020 and enjoyed the food so I decided to return on 2/23/22.I reserved a table for one. You currently have to make reservations to dine-in because I think they are short staffed. I ordered Flash Fried Basil Rolls for appetizer and Bangkok Mango Tofu for my entree. Both were fresh. My waitress was also attentive and nice. It’s nice to be able to eat familiar stables (such as fried breaded tofu) that is also gluten-free. I will...

We ordered for delivery just after 8 pm via the restaurant’s website (shown as preferred by venor). At about 9 we got a message from grubhub (who we didn’t order through) saying that our order had been changed or cancelled and to contact the restaurant. So, my husband called. The girl on the phone said that the grub hub driver had cancelled but another one should be along shortly and if there were any problems she would call back. 15 minutes later, he called back and no one had picked it up.

The restaurant hadn’t called us back and the food had just been sitting on the counter the whole time.

My husband asked her to go ahead and cancel the order since they couldn’t deliver it and she said,”No, the food was already made.” Isn’t that why we paid YOU a delivery fee + tips???

So, now we’ve had to get in the car and drive all the way over here to pick up food that has been sitting out for who knows how long at the restaurant, that we trusted them to deliver, and they refused.

They didn’t refund anything—not even the delivery fee and driver tip we paid. If you can’t deliver the food consistently, don’t offer delivery through your website.

This was COMPLETELY unacceptable. We paid when we placed the order, trusting that the restaurant would do as they said they would. They used that fact as an opportunity to not allow us to cancel the order that they could not deliver.

This was our first experience with L’Thai and will definitely be the last, which is a bummer because we love thai food.

This has left an extremely bitter taste in our mouths. We finally have our cold food that we paid full price plus tip and delivery fee for, but had to pick up ourselves.

There are at least 2 other thai restaurants within a 2 mile radius. “Pad Thai” has been fabulous every time. You’re going to want to...

Smyrna Location: It is unfortunate that these people are so rude because the food is very good. They act like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to visit their establishment. My co-workers and I have been there several times together, as well as individually and our experience with the staff has been the same over and over. We don't ask them to go above and beyond for customer service, but they don't even meet the minimum requirement. I only give this place two stars because the food is good and they have very reasonable prices. I don't usually write reviews (I should because I always read reviews and I need to contribute to the world of reviewers) but after my experience today, I could not take it anymore. Although I really do love the food, I will not return to their establishment because I can no longer deal with their rudeness. I will look long and far for another business with more pleasant staff. Today when I placed my order to go, I asked the woman on the phone to repeat the order so that we could make sure we were on the same page. She quickly ran through my order, then hung up the phone on me. When I went to pick up my food, the gentleman at the register did not bother to acknowledge my presence. I had to ask if I could pay for my food; he ignored me. He was doing something on the computer, so I waited about a minute and then asked him again. Then he ignored me AGAIN, then I said SIR can I pay for my food. Then he finally took my card, ran the transaction, then dashed the paper down, and walked away to continue with what he was doing. I could write an essay on their horrible customer service, but this review is long enough, so I will stop here. In my humble opinion, I would rather be treated kindly, then to have well...
