Frank's Pizza & Italian Subs — Restaurant in Vinton

I used to go here a lot a few years ago and use to love it. It's gone downhill since then. My boyfriend and I stop in, and the place just has that filthy feel to it. We sit down, get our order of drinks, and a few minutes later we get plates for our food that is about to arrive. The top plate obviously has leftover food still stuck on it. Gross. The waitress, I guess to some would be considered nice, but she was annoying and seemed to be bothering every table. Not bothering them as in just checking in, but always making comments like how we overheard her commenting that someone was making a mess (jokingly- but not everyone wants that to be a joke by some person in public) and touching them on the back. My mother and I went a while back, the same waitress was working and I pulled out my phone to show my mom a picture of something, and she comes over and starts scolding me for having my phone out and lectures me and my mom about how no one can go without having their phone out during a meal. Even though we hadnt gotten our meal yet. We were just getting our drinks. A little later my mom started to show me something on her phone, and the waitress had to come over and make yet another comment. my mom and i felt too awkward to even discuss our topic anymore that we were exchanging pictures of because of her comments. I've been going to Frank's for about the last year. But today was the first time I was disappointed. I always order the same thing, either Chicken Parmesan or Eggplant Parmesan, because both are absolutely delicious! However, today, I decided to try something new, so I ordered the Spaghetti with Meatballs, and the flavor of the spaghetti sauce seemed very familiar, and for some reason, it didn't taste good. It finally dawned on me that the same sauce they use for both the Chicken Parmesan and the Eggplant Parmesan was used for the Spaghetti and Meatballs and it was a let down. If I order Spaghetti and Meatballs I expect it to taste, well, like Spaghetti and Meatballs. I expect a yummy red sauce and plump meatballs. But the spaghetti sauce was orange, the same used for both the Chicken Parmesan and Eggplant Parmesan dishes. Also, the meatballs were small, not plump, and they didn't taste like fresh real beef. They tasted like meatballs you get in a cheap TV dinner, just a combination of different kinds of meats; cow beef, chicken meat, pork meat, plus fillers, in essence, your run of the mill, processed meat. I know it's cheaper to use the same sauce for all your dishes, but that's called cutting corners, and it would serve you well if you invest in your business by using different sauces for different dishes, especially for the Spaghetti and...

Stopped by there today for the lunch I have never ate here, completely understand there’s a pandemic going on around us some of us can wear mask some of us cannot. Since I had on a mask I approached the counter to inquire on if you could eat in or if it was take out only and the lady said yes but you must have a mask on while you’re at your table until you get your food. The guests that were with me did not have a mask for their own health reasons. So she explained to me that she could not serve us because we did not have a mask on (which is why I approached the counter to order for all of us because I am able to wear a mask) So I was told they could not serve us because we all did not have a mask on and we had to ALL have a mask on while we were at the table until we got food, however as I look around the restaurant there are 2 sets of couples at tables with NO food and NO masks but they were able to stay, but we were refused service.
