Firehouse Subs Pickerington — Restaurant in Violet Township

I came into the restaurant to order one of my favorite subs. As I walked in the door, the young lady behind the counter asked me how did I get in to the establishment and I stated the door was open. She said it should’ve been locked though there were two people inside of the restaurant already, there is only two people in the restaurant and she told myself and other she would get to us as soon as she could. I decided to go to the bathroom and wash my hands only to find that the bathroom was in total disarray. I certainly didn’t want to post the pictures of the toilet, the garbage piled high, and the sink was dirty. Then when she was ready to start taking orders, the last person who came through the door with his son was helped. Meanwhile, there are three other customers, including myself who have been waiting for at least 15 minutes just got looked over. She takes their order. Apparently there was no change and she couldn’t even get into the draw to make change and finally to top it off, there was no white bread to make the captain clubs sandwich , when I asked, I was told it was going to be at least an hour for the bread to thaw out. 02/27/2018- 7pm Dirty, dirty, and dirty. This place needs a major cleaning of all surfaces. Floors show obvious signs of not being swept and more importantly mopped in a long time. Crumbs and food in seats, and in between appliances. Appliances look like they never had been wiped down. Front counter and credit card machine were dirty, bathroom was not clean and walls look like they never were cleaned. Hanging lamps over the front counter have a layer of dust. Hot sauce area is untouchable with finger prints of sauce and crusted jars. Trash and cigarette butts around front and side of building. We all know the subs are good, but with the front of the house as dirty as this place was, we were worried about the food. I see other person had same complaint 3 weeks ago as me. High quality subs with a lot of variety at a reasonable price.

What an awesome place to get great subs and salads. Ordered a Firehouse salad tonight with steak and extra veggies. Not only was the steak serving ample and delicious, but they put the cold veggies and cheese in a separate container and gave me a lot of them. I can't tell you how appreciative I am of that and wish other places would do the same.

In addition their subs were delicious as always, even my picky 2 year old will eat then and she doesn't eat sandwiches from anywhere (home or otherwise). It's a win all around at a reasonable price.

Don't bother with the new Capriotti's across the street, their customer service sucks and their prices are insanely high for the portion size and...
