Porters Coffee House and Bakery — Restaurant in Violet Township

I waited patiently for the opening of Porter’s coffee house in its new location. First off I love the decor. I order veggie quiche, breakfast ham sandwich, chocolate chip cookie, frozen chai latte and hot chai latte with extra chai. Now this is why I gave this place 3 stars. I went back to ask one of the employees about my drink because it was very weak to me. I ask her how do they make their latte. She said the drink was made correctly and she can’t do anything about it. Another employee came over and I explained to her how I was not satisfied with my drink. I told her the same thing and told her it doesn’t taste like there was an extra shot of chai. The employee told me they do not do extra shots. Now if I requested why didn’t the cashier tell me they don’t offer that extra item. I would have ordered something else. Help understand what happen to “Customer Service “. I remember there was time a place would try to make the customer happy. I was not offered another drink or even let me make another one for you with that extra shot. Then let me know moving forward that is something we don’t do here. They didn’t even offer to give me my money back. I have been in customer service since I started working and never seen where the customer basically out of luck ( I am being nice with my words). I DID NOT DRINK MY LATTE. I LEFT IT THERE. The place has all the essentials on the drink menu plus some more interesting/seasonal drinks. I'm a simple guy, and I enjoyed some very good quality oat milk lattes. Definitely don't overlook the word 'bakery' in their name. They have tons of great looking cookies, muffins, cheesecake, savory goods, etc. The coffee cake I tried was decent, had a unique twist of fresh fruit in the middle, but was a little dry/black around the edge (6/10). The blueberry muffin was much much better; I could tell it was freshly made when I came around 7am, still a little warm, nice crunch on top, and super fluffy (9/10). The snickerdoodle was darn near perfect -- thick, soft, and well-balanced sweetness (9.5/10). This is the kind of place that'll get you excited to keep coming back to try more. They have a drive thru if you're on the go. Inside is cozy and suitable to plug in. They have 6 tables with outlets underneath each, plus a few smaller tables with seats off to the side. My wife would not have ordered a drink with expresso shots in it for health reasons. So, I know that she was not heard correctly when she ordered. Making a statement that the order was repeated back in a busy and noisy environment does not make it right. Simply admit you may have made a mistake and correct the issue. This was the third week in a row we had been to your business, and also the last time. The sign stating spilled or dropped drinks will not be replaced is a little much, most people have an understanding of that. But, if you make the mistake then own it, what we got out of this trip was an incomplete order, my wife got no drink, and no refund offered for your mistake.
