I stopped at this Starbucks today and had one of the worst experiences I’ve had at any location. When I walked in, I went to the restroom first to wash my hands and then came to the counter to order. Two employees were standing at the espresso machines and didn’t acknowledge me at all, no greeting, no “someone will be right with you,” nothing. I stood there for an uncomfortably long time until a manager, who had been talking to someone else, finally said, “We’ll be right with you.”
When she came over to take my order, I noticed how incredibly slow the baristas were moving. I used to own a coffee shop myself and understand how long it actually takes to make espresso drinks, and this was far slower than necessary, especially since there were no other customers in line and very few cars in the drive-thru.
It took about 12 minutes for my drink to be made. When it was finally placed on the counter, no one called my name. It just sat there while the baristas stood around talking. I eventually went up to the counter myself, and when I reminded them I had also ordered a jalapeño pocket, one of them went to get it. It came out lava hot, clearly overheated.
To top it off, the tables inside were dirty and hadn’t been wiped down in a while. When I left, I noticed the sprinkler system outside was spraying directly onto the drive-thru menu and cars trying to order.
Overall, this location was disorganized, unprofessional, and poorly managed. I regret not going to...
Read moreMeghan gave me a hard time for asking for my drink the way I ordered it. She was super mean. I’ve always been kind to them, even the last few days the mocha sauce hasn’t been right and I’ve asked nicely for more pumps, I’m never a jerk about it and I was not rude today when asking for my drink to be topped off because I didn’t want almost 2 inches of empty space at the top of my cup for my nearly $6 hot chocolate. As I was leaving I was calling her out for being mean with her tone and they laughed at me. Honestly this about ruined my morning. I had already been having a terrible morning and this made me cry because it was the straw that broke my back. I spend way too much money with Starbucks to be treated that way. I’ll go out of my way to the other stores now who have never given me any issues about making my drink right. That’s why we pay an arm and a leg for Starbucks- because the drinks are supposed to be customizable. Otherwise you could just go to Tim Hortons and save some money. I’m super disappointed that she felt the need to treat me badly just because I have spoken up when my drink is wrong. I ordered from the other Starbucks right after this (because once again the mocha syrup wasn’t right at this store) and it was perfect. Bottom line- something is wrong with your mocha (or they aren’t giving the amount of pumps I order), it isn’t right to leave that much empty space at the top of a cup, and you really shouldn’t treat...
Read moreThis Starbucks is so close to my house making it incredibly convenient for me. It’s brand new and lovely inside. I realize that all the staff are new, so the wait time does not bother me. Even the order mistakes that happen haven’t bothered me, until today.
I ordered a strawberry refresher, made with water. It is the same thing I always get when I go to Starbucks. I have been getting every morning if not twice a day for the last two years. This morning, I questioned if it was made with lemonade because it was cloudy. I’d just brushed my teeth and so when I was reassured it was made with water I tasted it and thought “okay”….I was in a hurry to get to a meeting. 15 minutes later the refresher was still cloudy and I distinctly tasted lemonade. So, I had my daughter taste it. She tasted lemonade too.
My meeting I had was cancelled on my way there so I drove back to ask them to make it again. They did remake it for me, but not before the woman behind the counter attempted to gas-light me saying she made it, with water, herself. The second drink….not cloudy, no taste of lemon, and distinctly different.
At this point, I’ll be returning to the Starbucks on Blacklick Eastern Road in the future. I was not aggressive or rude when I went back into the store to ask for it to be remade. I have medical dietary restrictions though, and I have to do my best to...
