Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Violet Township

Reviewing this particular Tim Hortons is difficult because I wasn't sure whether to give it one star for the actual experience or five stars for the comedic value. First of all, it is not the cleanest establishment. However, we went ahead and ordered anyways because we were far from home, hungover, and sometimes, you just give in. I do regret that decision. When someone finally came to take our order, there was some confusion about making a few coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches from the menu. After some discussion between the employees, they decided to go ahead and attempt our order. This must have been a very difficult task because at one point throughout our inappropriately long wait, one of the employees quit and walked out of the door. The other employees tried to pick up some slack, but they were all quite annoyed to be there in the first place and apparently did not know how to make coffee (I guess this was not in the job description). After waiting for an inordinate amount of time, we did receive our order, albeit, the order was incorrect, and the employees had to return to the drawing board to make a latte. Second time was sort of a charm because we did get a latte; however, this one did not have any espresso in it. At this point, we gave up, as did the employees. We decided to accept our order, however incorrect it was, and just get out of there. Upon deciding to finally exit the establishment, when my husband asked for our receipt, the employee crumbled it into a ball and mic dropped it into his hand. I had never seen anything like it or this Tim Hortons. When push comes to shove, if you want good food and fast, go somewhere else. Terrible customer service. I went through the drive thru of this location on Wed, Sept 23, 2020. I ordered 2 hot drinks and timbits. Once, I got to the window to pay, I noticed, the "lady" at the window was going to pass both drinks through the window, without a carrier. So, I politely asked for a drink carrier and two sleeves. She proceeded to get loud and aggressive saying, I should have asked for a carrier and sleeves while ordering my drinks...😳. I maintained myself as she walked away to grab the carrier. Once, she got back to the window, she proceeded to drop my drinks in the carrier so hard, I could see liquid coming through the top of the cup. So, I said, don't throw my drinks around like that. And, she proceeded to say, GIRL BYE! 😳 I admit, I did share a few back and forth words with her at that point. The shift supervisor/manager attempted to come over and solve the issue while the employee was still trying to talk behind her. She was even trying to gently move her away from the window as she continued to come back. To keep from coming all the way out of character, I drove off after saying she was rude. The manager appeared frightened and unable to manage her staff. I will not be visiting this location again. A lot has changed at this location. I'm not sure who's doing the hiring. Had a highly dissatisfied experience. Came to this Tim Hortons looking to get some doughnuts, so I went inside since their door was unlocked, and went to talk to the woman at the counter who seemed rude and unhelpful. She immediately told me that "their dining room was closed because of COVID" (even though we were both wearing masks and they had shields at the registers for the customers, and a sign on their door stating that customers had to wear masks if they came inside) even though their door was unlocked, and I wasn't planning on eating there anyway. I was just going to grab and go. I then asked if I could do a carry out, and the lady acted like she had no idea what that meant. I then explained it to her and she said that I could order through the drive thru. The location in Canal Winchester allows customers to come inside and carry out. I then asked if they had doughnuts, to which she replied that they just sold the last one out the drive thru. Upset at this, I left and will never return to...
