Bangkok Garden — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

If I could give 0 stars I would. There was an issue with our online order, stuff happens not a big deal. My fiancé called the restaurant to make sure they received our order, they said they didn’t however we were already charged for our food. They then proceeded to put him on hold for over 15 minutes. Frustrated, he disconnected the call. I then called to explain the situation, that there was an error online on their website, we had already been charged, and could we just place the order over the phone to go pick it up - seemingly no big deal. However, the lady said that I needed to wait 3-5 business days for a refund, and that I needed to pay additional money for a completely new order. We ordered 2 things. I have the charge on our end that clearly says that we PAID. I tried to ask why we couldn’t just get the order we quite literally paid for, they’ve already received our payment, etc. she then became extremely rude to me, asked me if we were going to go pick up this NEW order from her - an additional $33, and when I said “well no, because why do we need to get a refund and do all these extra things?” She literally HUNG UP on me. Look, I get being frustrated. It’s Mother’s Day, I’m sure they’re busy! But to HANG UP on a paying customer who was simply trying to resolve an issue that THEIR website created is sooooooo beyond unprofessional and rude. I would not recommend this location at...

I am of a very STRONG opinion that this restaurant provided my husband and i with spoilt food. My husband and I visited this place yesterday, because we are trying new foods together. I have had good and somewhat ok Thai food, but this place is the WORST. My husband and I ordered different versions of Mansam curry or whatever it is called and a seafood soup. When our food came out, my husband complained something smelt funny, but i concluded it to be the soup since i had never had it before or knew what it smelt like. The food tasted crappy. It was the BLANDEST curry i have ever had, and when i requested something with more seasoning, i was given peppers to add to my soup which RUINED the soup for me further, but that is not why i am writing the review. I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW BECAUSE ONCE WE GOT HOME FROM HERE, MY HUSBAND AND I SPENT OUR EVENING RUNNING TO THE RESTROOM because of running bowels.

Just in case of NONBELIEVERS: If you ask what if it is something else we ate before coming here? I would clarify with you that my husband had oatmeal in the morning while i ate nothing since we were planning on eating an early lunch. Therefore, the only place we ate the same thing was here, so we are of a STRONG opinion that my husband smelled right, and we got food from the day before or food with spoilt...

We ate here on Saturday and it was so delicious and the service was so awesome we went back on Sunday. Mistake... we ordered the exact same thing. The spicy vegetarian soup tasted different and the service the was the one of the worst I've experienced. I worked in the service industry for a very long time and am understanding of okay service... it's a challenging job. We were this servers only table... it was about 5pm. We did not get spoons with our soups, nor did we not get extra plates with the entrée we shared. We had to use the saucer plate from our soup. The waitress gave us our check while we were still eating. She came to clear our plates and also cleared our hot tea while we were still sitting at the table. You NEVER take beverages off the table until the customers leaves or they have pushed them to the end of the table. I was planning on having a little more hot tea before leaving. I feel this waitress was not trained... we are not going to hold this experience against Bangkok... we love this place and hope this was an isolated event. I'm writing this post in hopes that the manager reads and makes sure his/her staff in trained properly to wait tables. Please do not chastise this waitress! She just needs a little coaching :-).
