The Breakfast Bar
âââââ
As a devoted breakfast enthusiast, Iâve discovered a hidden gem in our cozy corner of Virginia Beach that opened just 3 weeks ago on June 12th: The Breakfast Bar on North Mall Road. Let me tell you why this place will become a family favorite.
Family-Centric Vibes: From the moment you step inside, it feels like youâre visiting a dear friendâs kitchen. Warm smiles, friendly chatter, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee create an instant sense of belonging. The staff treats you like family, and they genuinely care about your experience. Marilyn interacted with EVERYONE!!! It was refreshing to see and it added to their concept of at Breakfast Bar, YOU ARE FAMILY! Comfortable Seating: The comfortable wooden chairs are more than just seats; theyâre cozy nooks where you can sink in, sip your coffee, and watch the world wake up. Whether youâre catching up with loved ones or enjoying a quiet moment alone, the cushioned comfort makes it feel like home. Inviting DĂ©cor: Itâs like stepping into a rustic farmhouse kitchen. Sunlight streams through the large windows, casting a warm glow on the wooden countertop and tables. Youâll find yourself lingering, lost in the charm of it all. Generous Portions: The Breakfast Bar doesnât skimp on portions. I had their traditional Cuban sandwich (you can have it traditional or on Mallorca Bread) and it came with a ketchup/mayo/garlic sauce to put on the sandwich, as well as french fries. In summary, The Breakfast Bar isnât just a place to eat; itâs an experience. Itâs where laughter echoes, coffee mugs clink, and hearts connect. Whether youâre a local or a visitor passing through, make sure to stop byâyouâll leave with a full belly and a heart warmed.

Read moreThis is the third time we've been here. The first two times were phenomenal - we fell in love and it became our go to place on the weekend. This time was a complete disaster. Our waitress had glasses and was awful. She was bickering with the other waitress near us, she forgot my husband's eggs, and I ordered turkey sausage because I don't eat pork and she put in Argentinian sausage. As soon as I took a bite I knew something was off - and the other waitress caught it! The waitress without glasses fixed the other's mistake, apologized, and started taking care of us because the waitress with glasses who made the mistake seemed to be avoiding us after the mishap! Then, glasses waitress halfheartedly apologized, didn't offer any sort of comp, and started telling us it was someone else's fault she made the mistake and was venting to us about another employee - keep back of house in the back! Then, when she brought the receipt my husband he opened his mouth to ask a question (about being charged for eggs he never got) and she snatched the receipt out of his hand before he could even say anything. Extremely unprofessional. I'm grateful to the waitress without glasses, but we won't go there again because of the waitress with glasses. She was rude and unprofessional. I understand mistakes happen, but she did not...

I told the waitress that the rest of my family was on the way and that it would take them about 5 minutes to get there. I asked her if I could sit down and have a coffee with my wife and mother while we waited for the rest of the family. They said no, then they told me if I ordered I could sit down. We ordered coffee. The waitress told us that if we didn't order we couldn't stay there. I told her I was waiting for the family and we were going to order until they arrived that there were only 5 minutes left, but she didn't want to. She practically treated us badly. The waitress was very rude and embarrassed me in front of my wife and mother. She was a tall waitress and speaks Spanish. They should train her better and break some stupid rules that don't make sense for a good business. I paid for the coffee without finishing it. I didn't want her to continue serving us. She was very haughty and rude never come back this...
