I have had an Apple product since the SE6, then worked up to a 13 over the next 10 years or so. Over that period I have also had an IPad Air, then an Air 2, and as of last Thursday the 12 of June, a IPad 3. Because of their quality I have only had to visit the Apple Store, maybe 3 times. Until my last visit I extolled the care I received there, and praised the “geniuses” that had served me. But now I no longer can say that. I went there to buy a new IPad. I was the first in line. I immediately was received after the clapping at the 10 AM opening. The employee showed me the products available. I choose an IPad the employee began the process Of transferring the information from my iPhone to my new iPad. She then left me to go wait on somebody else. She would periodically check back with me to see how things were going. I appreciated that, but she seemed anxious for the process to be over. She was a knowledgeable about whether it was cheaper for me to pay all at once, or to make payments over a year time. From time to time she would leave me and go wait on another person. Eventually, a completely different person came over and continued the process of readying the new IPad. She was helpful, but after a while, she left as well. I never saw her again. The first person that waited on me, came back to continue the process. But when new people came into the store, she left me and went to wait on them. I waited a long time for her to come back, but she never did. I did go up and stand in front of her as she kept her back to me. She asked me if she could help. I said yes I have a few more questions. She said she would be there shortly. I went back and waited some more. Her back was still to me. So I got up again stood in front of her and ask her again for some help. She did nothing. When I got up the third time she did ask another employee to come over and help me with my questions. They were few and brief. He answered the questions in my time there was done. But it took About two hours to finally get out of the place. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to iPads and computers and iPhones, but I found it very annoying to have to seek out people to help me once the process had been started. I’m very disillusioned with especially the first employee, the second one was more helpful, the third one finished the process. I’m not sure why the first one could not have stayed with me instead of multitasking. Or at least ask the people she was waiting on to wait for her to finish with me before she went back to them. The whole process was unsatisfactory. I no longer referred to them as geniuses, and going back to the Apple Store is not something I look forward to. I’m not sure what’s changed. But the vibe is certainly different. At one point, the woman who first waited on me, began dancing to the music that was playing with another employee, while I waited for...
Read moreI was racially profiled at this apple store by Dave, an white gentlemen 6'1'' with white hair, and here is my story. I made an appointment on the 8th of March 2022 at 10am. I got there 45 minutes early and was greeted at the door by a rep to sign me in. Once the Apple store opened I was then greeted by Dave. I had a question about trading in my Macbook Pro to get an Mac mini. Dave told me my options and told me the value of my Macbook. After we were done I told Dave thank you for your information and have a nice day. Then we parted was, well so I thought. As I continued to shop around the store he followed me, close to my hip, around the entire store. At first I thought nothing of it until I realized that everywhere I went he was over my shoulder. I looked at him and again I said thank you Dave you have a nice day. Even after me trying to part ways he still follow me. Once I ignored him he left and started talking with another rep, his floor lead I'm guessing, about something. Later I found out that the rep's name was Brandon. I heard Brandon say "Ok, I'll let our security team know." Mind you I have all the latest apple gear on or with me; Apple watch series 7, iPhone 13 pro, and two Macbooks while I'm in the store. I have no clue to how one would think that I'm stealing anything within this store. Plus the fact that I made and appointment to be there. I never felt so disrespected in my life, and if you go to this apple store please do not get help by Dave. Because he dose not respect people as a whole, and I hope this review gets him fired. I actually left the store to get my thoughts together and replayed the horrific event in my head. I had to make sure my feelings was justified. When I went back to the Apple store about 5 minuets later to talk to Brandon, who I'm assuming was his floor lead, to confirm the rep who was profiling me name. I went to him because that is who Dave went to indicate a problem about me. When I went to Brandon he was nice, furthermore he was understanding of how I felt. He said that Dave dose help more when there is nothing to do in the store, but this store was packed as the Apple store is always. However, he encourage me to do what every I felt was right. At no point did I cause a scene or take attention from the store running as normal. I do not have a problem with that Apple store, furthermore I want this review to bring light to those who do wrong should be held accountable. So please ask for another rep if you end up with Dave because he will make you uncomfortable and it will not be an enjoyable shopping experience. Dave needs to go and this is how we can do our part to make it so. I going to put 5 stars on this review because other than Dave everything else was great. Also, to get more eyes to this event to...
Read moreOn February 19 I had an appointment because my brand new iPhone 15 was glitching constantly. I think Roland might’ve been the name of the young man who “helped” me? Not sure. The store was busy. I felt like he was trying to get me in and out of there as quickly as possible. I am 54 years old, and have natural gray hair and I really felt like he was treating me like I was 90 years old because of it. He did diagnostics and said it wasn’t hardware. It must be the IOS system was improperly installed. So he said he was going to erase everything from the phone, remove the operating system and reinstall it. This had to be done by connecting my phone to a computer there. He made me very quickly initial to agree at least twice that if they loose any information it’s not their fault. Of course I signed as I really wanted my brand new iPhone to work properly. At any rate, he did what he said he would do. I walked out of there with 700 contacts (previously having over 2400) and he said within 24-48 hours the phone would have it all back. Well it didn’t and it still glitches. As a matter of fact when I talk text it will repeat the same sentences 3/4 times. So I wish I never went to the store. I am super disappointed in apple and the experience that I had there. He did not download everything back from the cloud and my phone looked like a blank slate. I had to redownload and install any apps and try to organize my phone as close as I could to how I have always had it. Before he started I actually showed him a pop up message that kept coming up on my screen and he said it won’t happen anymore - and that is correct - because he deleted everything that went along with that pop up without first asking some important questions that could have prevented him from losing all my information. Hope this helps someone else. If you have different headings in your notes section on your phone - that’s one way to know everything is not backed up to the iCloud. I had 3 - 2 were from previous work exchange servers and 1 was iCloud. I did not know this, but he could have checked and should have known. This would’ve been a simple and quick way to help me keep all my notes and then...
