SuperHeroes Ice Cream and Pizza — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

We recently visited Superheroes and, while the ice cream itself was fantastic, our experience was overshadowed by the behavior of one of the employees. We arrived well before closing (the posted hours state they are open until 8 PM), but it was clear the worker on duty did not want us, or the families who came in after us, to stay. She made her frustration very apparent, sighing and visibly upset when one family unstacked chairs so their children could sit. We overheard the dad letting her know that he would put them back when he was done. At 7:40, the "Open" sign was turned off, and we overheard her telling her coworker she was going to cry because customers were still inside.

We understand that everyone has tough days, but this left an uncomfortable impression on what could have been a great family outing. Customer service is an important part of any experience, and we hope management addresses this issue so others can fully enjoy the otherwise...

Today was my first time trying this place with my young daughter. Atmosphere in terms of games is awesome. For that reason, I wish we tried this place before. The ice cream? Delicious. Leaving a higher rating than I wanted to despite the next part because I can tell they definitely put together a place catered to kids.

The staff? MEH.

The girl working today clearly didn’t want to be there. She was far from friendly and seemed disgruntled. Everyone is entitled to a bad day but terrible first impression. I even caught an eye-roll when placing my order. Reading the other reviews before leaving my own and to see others have dealt with the same attitude is disappointing. Get it together.

Overall would be willing to give this place a second chance. $13 for two sugar cones and two scoops of ice cream should at least come...

The biscoff ice cream was the best! I also got a scoop of the cookie and cream, ehh it was meh, kind of sort of taste like card board/ freezer burn. I would go again for the biscoff. The place was decorated great and the children appeared to be having fun. No issues with the staff, no one was at the counter when I got there but it's because she was making a pizza, no big deal but they might want to add a door bell so at least the staff no to come out and say they'll be out shortly. I gave it 4 stars because $4.50 a scoop was a bit over priced. With 2 scoops I paid over $11 and I could have bought a carton for that price. The scoops could have been bigger for the price.
