Wow - I ordered from the menu and didn't do any of the frozen foods, & so far everything I've ordered (except for the mac & cheese and small bowl portions) has been absolutely delicious! Here is what I have gotten so far: #1 fav is the new turkey burnt ends Cuban sandwich! I don't get the sauce or pickles, and get the chipotle ranch on the side, and is absolutely one of the best sandwiches ever! The flavor of the turkey and how moist it is is great, & the flatbread is soft and fluffy! I'll be craving this sandwich every week probably now! Bowls that you build with ingredients you like: Love but I suggest they UP EACH ingredient per the size we get---when I 1st tried this, the portions were great & I was able to eat half 1 day & the rest next day---now the portions are TINY, except for the protein. I don't want more protein, I want the bowls to be equally proportioned with ALL items. Makes no sense to me to only up the protein...? Not what I want to pay for---want all ingredients to be even. Looks like mgmt replied here & said they're going to ensure all ingredients will be even - will def check this out & appreciate them caring about us customers!
For the bowls, there are 3 things you can choose: #1: I've tried with the base of potatoes & also quinoa & kale - good, but hardly got much at all---couple bites? Will try again & see if mgmt fixed this issue - appreciate that! #2: Protein & always get their shrimp which is chargrilled perfection. Got plenty. #3: Veggies & I get mushrooms, zucchini, & asparagus - delicious, but again, hardly got much at all - pls add more! Will try again & see if mgmt fixed this issue - appreciate that! Sauce: I like to get the sweet chili sauce on the side, which is really good and not spicy.
Again, the #1 & #3 items are very skimpy now compared to the first time I went. Pls step this up guys! Update: Will try again & see if mgmt fixed this issue - appreciate that!
Turkey burger: Very very good and has such a good flavor with that chargrilled taste. Sweet potato fries: The flavor is good, but they I wish they were a little bit more crisper. Still recommend tho! Mac & cheese: So sorry guys, but this was a no-go for me---dry, noodles were gummy/overdone, & hardly any sauce at all. Tossed it & was left w/o a side w/my meal. Just not for me! Frozen foods: I think these are a great idea for people who do frozen meals. I personally don't like frozen food dinners, so don't get them. If they instead made some of these meals fresh where I could just grab them from the fridge & take them home, I would definitely love that!
The staff is always helpful & nice, but they just need more people helping us so we don't have to always stand in a long line. It takes a really long time per person, so having 2 people to check us out would be best!
I really appreciate mgmt's reply & offer of a free frozen meal - maybe I will try. Seems like mgmt really cares, so appreciate y'all for that!
Love this place overall and will be back many more times!...
Read moreHere, you have an entire restaurant dedicated to healthy eating alternatives. All this healthy comes at a price, however. The result is a limited menu that, in spite of being "good for you", ends up leaving you feeling deprived. It is unfortunate that Clean Eatz falls somewhat short of the mark in providing an equitable combination of taste and value. A drink station which features *water with lemon slices, *water with tea, *water with orange or plain *water, things that normally come free for the asking elsewhere, are advertised as "included" with the meal. What you are really getting for the price (which is reasonable) is the entree which is presented in "realistic" serving sizes. No need for doggie bags here and they consider that as a selling point.
Side orders consist of options such as veggie cups and a lackluster "side salad" which looked like a scoop of iceberg lettuce with touches of shredded carrot. As a child I remember these things as what had to be eaten in order to get to the good stuff. Here they are presented as plate filling as opposed to something that actually adds value to the meal.
The service was conducted by a very pleasant and enthusiastic fellow who resembled my highschool gym teacher. Clearly, the staff stands behind the business which is refreshing. They seem well informed about the menu and answered all my questions. Their strongest focus seems to be on their take-out options and meal plans. Their freezers are well stocked with ready-made dishes that can be heated up and eaten at home. The restaurant prides itself in offering meals that are formulated to appeal to different dietary needs such as gluten-free and low carb. The ready made food appears much more appetizing than what is offered on the restaurant menu and one wonders if the restaurant doesn't come up short because of the split attention.
This is a restaurant with a mission, as evidenced by the displays of Clean Eatz spice mixtures and protein powders available for sale in the dining room. There is not a fried item or speck of refined sugar to be found. The floor still retains the marks of earlier renovations which detracts from the otherwise tidy and modern space. Posters on the wall remind the customers that they are what they eat. Even the plastic table number cards are printed with advice on remaining well hydrated and avoiding toxic people. In short, there are many reminders of what we should be doing better. Perhaps the customers would be better served by information about the ingredients. Why should I be eating asparagus and why is it good for me?
The most generous thing I can say is perhaps we as Americans equate "healthy eating" with "cruel and unusual punishment" and Clean Eatz just suffers in that light. Though I applaud their mission and I wish them luck, alas I feel that this place is not...
Read moreI absolutely love Clean Eatz! My husband and I come here every weekend and get our delicious and healthy frozen meals for the week! It's way more affordable than cooking every night and I absolutely love how I feel when I eat it! I don't feel like I'm eating junk and I feel sated for along time afterwards. We love going to the location together and pointing out new meals and searching for favorites. It's a couples shopping trip for us that is truly enjoyable! You also can't beat the cafe meals! The Turkey Burnt Ends are amazing!
Did I mention how delicious the food is? The brisket and turkey burnt ends are incredible! Now I should take a star away because they rarely have the Carnivore Pizza (with turkey burnt ends) and sometimes don't have the Meatball Pizza (Why?) when I go but I'm gonna let it slide. There is a huge selection of keto, vegetarian, seafood, poultry, beef and just well...lots of amazing food! Go see for yourself. You won't walk out empty handed!
I actually started to eat broccoli because of Clean Eatz. I have sensory and gut issues that make eating lots of veggie things hard for me. But because everything is so amazingly good from this place, I gave it a shot and actually enjoyed broccoli a lot for the first time in my 40+ years on this planet! That being said, I can't eat it all the time because overcoming sensory issues is a mixed bag, but if you keep a steady supply of the Brisket Mac and Cheese 2.0 or even 1.0 in the grab-and-go freezers, I will love you forever! (And I will still get the broccoli meals sometimes.)
The staff at this location are phenomenal! We love going in to see them and they remember us, which is nice! There is nothing better than going to a place where the staff is friendly and actually want you to have a great experience when you come in the door! One of the best things for us is them knowing how we shop. We have a dog and sometimes (always) she wants to come along. When she does we have to shop one-at-a-time so one of us is in the car with her and the team here has always been very accommodating! I love that!
We love Clean Eatz and it's a big part of our drive to eat...
