Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

HELP! I just went to the Coldstone at 1169 Nimmo Pkwy, Virginia Beach- STORE #20581.

I ordered the taco and they said it would be a few minutes (which is fine!). THEN, I proceed to see 2 workers in non-Coldstone clothing making the taco shells with NO GLOVES, and taking handfuls of the sprinkles with BARE HANDS and sprinkling it onto the tacos- strike 1.

They proceed to ask me if I would prefer to have my taco served with just a napkin or if I wanted it served to me INSIDE OF A FILE FOLDER (yes, a clear paper protector that typically goes into a binder) -strike 2.

Then, the taco is brought out (inside the clear file folder) and has no chocolate dip or sprinkles on top, so they did not make it as it is supposed to be served. I asked for the chocolate and sprinkles to be added and they told me I was wrong- that it doesn’t come that way and they won’t be able to add it. So, I pulled up this picture, per your Instagram, to show them and then after being told I was wrong again, I showed them countless TikToks of people showing their tacos and how it’s supposed to look, how it looks after having a bite taken out, etc. STILL BEING TOLD I WAS WRONG, and that all of these people (and your Instagram post) must’ve been “special orders”. I recently visited this establishment with my son and daughter and they loved it. I’m a father of two kids so I feel for the girls who work here. My wife and I were just talking about how the staff here are treated. It’s a shame, honestly. I’ve just recently starting visiting on a more regular basis, and more often then not I see people getting upset that their order is taking too long or for some reason about their mask policy. This isn’t a new rule, and it certainly isn’t being enforced at this coldstone just because they want to be screamed at by their customers. Every time I’ve visited this establishment the staff are friendly and helpful. Rarely do they make mistakes, and if it is it might be a forgotten cone or lid which they fix immediately. I feel like a lot of these reviews are from people who are looking to complain. It’s a busy store and I’m sure most of the girls there are at their first or second job. I would hate if my kids were being treated in such a manner. I highly recommend this establishment, and I recommend to ignore the unfriendly reviews as well because I can almost guarantee those being negative are the same people who refuse to wear a mask and have little to...

FYI to the owners and employees... you CANNOT refuse to serve patrons regardless if you are privately owned because you want to enforce a mask mandate (that is no longer in place BTW) and MOST DEFINITELY you CANNOT request people to show a vaccination ID... it’s against HIPPA law, our CIVIL RIGHTS and clear discrimination! So unless you want to get sued personally and as a business you may want to educate yourself and your employees because ignorance of the law is not an excuse!

Fact: An unvaccinated child is still safer than a vaccinated adult & has been proven for OVER A YEAR! If you or your staff are vaccinated you are protected per CDC guidelines or why would you get vaccinated? Also, those who’ve had COVID/Flu have herd immunity which is greater than the vaccine! So it’s helpful if you actually gain knowledge before pushing your agenda onto the public!

Patrons, We have a choice to not allow companies to discriminate against those w health problems, who cannot wear masks or choose not to wear them, let alone children who have been documented to NOT spread Covid!!!...
