I am old shcool; I remember cheese steaks on Amoroso Rolls before the advent of cheese from a spray can. Just good old fashioned sliced American or Italian Provolone cheese. I love the addition of the lettuce and tomato and grilled mushrooms.
Sure would like to see beer and wine sales for the eat-in menu.
One complaint: I've ordered three times since you've opened and you've not yet gotten the order right. First two times I asked for extra cheese and mushrooms. Got home and found no mushrooms or extra cheese on mine and mushrooms on my wife's not mine. My wife hates shrooms!
Third time I asked for extra cheese, shrooms, and drag it through the garden (Hoagie Style) for me, traditional for the wife. Wife's was good; mine - NO GARDEN.
So far batting Zero for accuracy for me; Okay for the wife cuz we traded. Only reason I keep coming back - I love proper cheese steak subs, with Amoroso rolls, so I can deal with them without the added fixings. Plus for a guy from northern Delaware I am aware of what a REAL Philly Cheese Steak Sub is. Think Casapulla's or Capriotti's for Delaware or South Philly before Cheez Whiz.
Well you blew it...... NO Garden on my HOGIE STYLE - extra cheese, yes; mushrooms, yes; lettuce, NO; tomtoes, NO. What am I going to do? I'll just have to keep trying until you get my order right. Guess when that happens I will fall down and cry in Jubilation and...
Read moreMan, listen...I can't quite remember how I found out about this lil gem of an eatery but I decided to check it out the day before yesterday and I gotta say I was not disappointed. These cheesesteaks are amazing. I thought I found the best one at Philly Cheesesteak Cafe but Philly Cold Cuts is giving them a tough run. I was floored. I liked it so much, I drove another 1 and a half hour to come back yesterday and try a couple other cheesesteaks. Again, wasnt disappointed whatsoever. My only gripe is that I wish I had gotten the chicken pizza cheesesteak instead of steak. I dont think marinara sauce goes too well with it. Thats the only thing I didn't like but the chicken philly and cheesesteak of course were excellent. Not only was the food excellent, the service is too. The first day I went, there was this sweet lil older lady and the gentleman who runs the grill but when I came back yesterday, there was this cute redbone on the grill with the other lady. She was extra sweet too and had such a gorgeous smile. Lord knows I'll be back. I love it here. I meant to try a slice of their cheesecake but I forgot about it. That'll be on my list when I return. Nimmo location is probably the best. The atmosphere is definitely laid back and very...
Read moreA favorite in the Great Neck area has a location in the Red Mill area. Located in the shopping center right near the CVS, Philly Cold Cuts brings the great Philadelphia goods over to Red Mill / Nimmo.
When we order as a family, we always get the same thing. We ended up getting the traditional sub, but as a biggie. That's 16 inches of love. If you split it between two people, it's a enough for both (8 inches). In my opinion, it's the cheapest way to go ($12.95). Then with an order of fries, your meal is complete. Philly Cold Cuts offers other things also, salad, burgers, etc. But I just come for the philly cheese steaks!
This location brings the sunshine with a lot of yellow. . because you know. . it's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (knee slap). I suggest calling ahead for your order or ordering online on...
