Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

Ice cream is fine, the dark chocolate ice cream I had was really rich and smooth. Three stars were taken off due to the irritated worker who took our order.

At first it seemed like he's nice, asked my friend if she wanted a sample. After giving her the sample he went into the kitchen, I be like how bout me lol. When we were asked for the second time if we're ready to order and we said not yet cuz there're really too many choices and the store was so dark that I couldn't see the menu clearly(I didn't have my glasses on me), he had an irritated face, and he constantly went into the kitchen and came out like he didn't wanna serve us.

Then when we're ready to pay he didn't ask if we wanna pay separately, and when we said we're gonna pay separately he unintentionally hit the table hard like we are so annoying. Right after we sat down he disappeared again and I saw him chatting and having fun with his female coworker inside the kitchen(ok that's why).

Here is a suggestion, you might wanna serve your customers correctly and properly before you flirt with your crush from work place cuz this is unprofessional. There are many people who need a job, you don't have to force yourself to be here, just flirt with...

Any time me or my roommate go to this location (nearest our place) the high school kids working give off this "why are you bothering me" attitude. The nice guy is always in the back and sometimes there's a nice, but very slow younger girl but they both work in the back area and would be better suited for serving customers. Any time we go in it's these 2 younger guys, or sometimes only one of them and neither are friendly and both can be actually quite rude. Especially if you are ordering anything from the hot stone menu. They both give this eye roll, snotty-toned "you know that's gonna be like 5 extra minutes, right?" The sign in front of the register stating that new employees are undergoing training, and to please be patient has been there for months. There's been no improvement. Please consider hiring friendlier staff. It takes any fun out of the experience when you're craving ice cream after dinner, but when you walk in the door you get treated like you're bothering these kids who work here. Any time I order more than 2 things I'm interrupted and told to hold on,but never addressed...

My husband and I wanted to do a low-key gender reveal with Coldstone ice cream instead of cake or cupcakes. When we first called the Greenbrier location (closer to us) in Chesapeake, we were told “no, not really we don't do that”. Disappointed, we called the Lynnhaven location, and I’m SO glad we did! Faith answered the phone and immediately knew what we were asking for. She said she’d done gender reveal requests before and was happy to help. When we arrived, she and her team walked us through everything: flavors, toppings, and even finding out the gender alongside us. She made the entire experience so special and stress-free. This is how you train and empower employees! We left with full hearts (and ice cream!) and will gladly drive the extra distance to come back to this location. Highly recommend the Lynnhaven...
