Bangkok Garden — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

I always go to the other Bangkok Garden in Virginia blvd but I'm gonna try this location today vecause they have Mango Sticky Rice!

We came here at lunch and the food are about 8.50-9 something. I had the Red Curry and Thai tea, my friend had the Green curry with Thai tea, and we shared a Mango Stick Rice.

My red curry was more spicy then my friend's green curry so you might want to ask for less spicy if you can't take too spicy. The flavor is good tho, and the portion was perfect.

The Thai tea was smaller than the other Bangkok Garden but it was $3 so it's reasonable, and you can also get the second refill like the other Bangkok Garden. However, they put too much milk in it so it tasted less good then the other Bangkok Garden.

The Mango Sticky Rice is a bomb but the price is way too high for that portion of rice. You really have to eat the mango AND the rice TOGETHER every bite, the cold mango and the hot coconut milk sticky rice all melt in your mouth, omg it's super good. BUT the price, man, it's 6.50 and there are too little rice. Kao Thai in Laskin has the Mango Sticky Rice too and it cost less that 5...

Overall the experience is good, just the Mango Sticky Rice is too expensive. The waitress was nice and the waiting time for our food is fast. I go to TCC so I might come here more now since it's just 5-7 mins...

Update: May/31st/2024 I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. I’ve been a regular at this restaurant for almost 10 years, but my recent experience was disappointing. We arrived at 9 p.m., an hour before closing, with a group of seven (four adults, two babies under two, and one infant). Although they agreed to let us in, the service was poor, and the staff’s attitude (her name is Kamin) was unpleasant. Despite ordering right away, we felt rushed and unwelcome, and our group, consisting of 4 adults and 3 babies who were not eating, was charged an additional 20% for the tip.

The staff's behavior was unacceptable. They threw the food on the table as if we were eating without paying. When I politely asked for an explanation about the 20% charge, the staff member yelled at me. She then aggressively grabbed the bill from my hand and, upon returning, slammed it on the table, leaving us all shocked.

I would not recommend this place to anyone due to their unprofessional and rude service.

My family and I love Bangkok Garden at Hilltop and at TownCenter and have been regular patrons of both for years. Today we ordered from this Salem Crossing location for the first time as we have moved to this side of town. Our experience was disappointing from the initial phone call, the customer service, the portion size of the food, and quality of the food. The woman on the phone taking the order was rushing and impatient which might have contributed to all of orders being incorrect. We ordered the dinner size and received the lunch size of each meal. The heat/pepper intensity in each meal was incorrect causing multiple members of the family to be unable to eat. We ordered combination meats and multiple orders failed to have all of the meats in it. They did not include the salads that typically come with our meal. Overall the experience was not only disappointing in comparison to the other locations but actually unpleasant.
