CHARCOAL CHICKEN — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

I recently dined at Charcoal Chicken, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The food was outstanding, with a deep, rich flavor that truly impressed me. The lamb chops were the highlight of the meal, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor—definitely the best I've had in a long time. The fried rice complemented the chops nicely, and the sweet plantains added a lovely touch to the dish.

I also enjoyed the lamb gyro, which was seasoned wonderfully and cooked to perfection. The garlic Parmesan chicken was another standout; it was moist, crispy, and well-seasoned, leaving me satisfied with every bite.

While the food was exceptional, I felt the staff could improve in their friendliness and willingness to assist with menu questions. For instance, I only learned about the lamb chops being a top recommendation from another customer rather than the staff. A bit more attentiveness and engagement from the team would elevate the experience even further.

Despite this, I would definitely return to Charcoal Chicken for the fantastic flavors and inviting atmosphere. Highly...

Had lunch yesterday there with a friend and was blown away by how delicious everything is!!! Literally, some of the best chicken I have ever had in my entire life. As a career restaurant industry person myself, I was duly impressed by the incredible flavor and freshness of their food as well as their warm and welcoming service. It is not fancy and is in fact very casual. You order at the counter they immediately put it in boxes in front of you and you have the choice of either dining in at a table or taking it with you. In fact, I went back tonight and got a bunch of food to share with my coworkers because it was that delicious. I wanted to share it with them and they also enjoyed it immensely. These folks certainly know their craft! Try it and you’ll be back, I guarantee it! Absolutely...

Their chicken bowls will blow your favorite chicken bowl from chipotle out guaranteed. Plus the food just seems more real if that makes sense.

My daughter is the kind that wanted chipotle 1-2 times a week if she could. Her favorite place to eat. All I’m saying is we haven’t been there not a single time since stumbling onto this place a month ago. Highly recommend the chicken bowls.

The chicken and/or steak Philly’s are good too. The prices are good but there’s up charges for things like green beans which I don’t love but hey. For this flavor and taste. I’ll gladly pay.
