I'm not one to leave a bad review, but DO NOT ORDER FROM VENICE PIZZA! We have tried to give this place the benefit of a doubt by ordering multiple times and just thinking that maybe because they were a new business, things would just fall into place but no. Tonight was the last straw. I've worked in the service industry for a long time, so I am more lenient than others when things happen and that is why we kept ordering from this place. The food is inconsistent. It never tastes the same. Sometimes it good, alot of times it's off. Not only that, more than once they've forgotten to deliver something in our order or sent the wrong sauces. But tonight just made me mad. We ordered food and it was supposed to be delivered within about 30-45 mins. It wasn't of course but we weren't too worried about until about 20 more minutes, my husband called and they said it was out for delivery but another 25 minutes passed by so my husband called again to cancel the order and the girl on the phone said, "ok fam." Are you serious? I cannot believe the level of unprofessionalism! And then they finally showed up 5 minutes later. I also called and politely asked to speak with a manager but was told they don't have a manager in the facility and was told to call slice because she couldn't help me. Why is there not a manager on duty??? So from order time to delivery, we waited 2 almost 2.5 hours and had the rudest little girl on the phone with the worst customer service we've ever dealt with. Read moreFirst, let me say I try to support local businesses as much as possible and I think I’m a very flexible person when it comes restaurants/food service but this needs to be addressed. I had a taste for pizza and wanted to try this newer pizza place in my neighborhood so I went to Venice NYC Pizza. I went around 6:00 pm and a sandwich board that clearly stated “Lunch Special 2 Slices and a soda for $6.99” and I thought I’m going to have to come back because that’s a good deal! But walked in hoping for the Venice NYC experience and the cashier asked, “Had I ever been here before?” I replied “No” and SHE pointed to their handheld menus so I grabbed one and low and behold on the front of the menu in bold letters says ALL DAY SPECIAL 2 SLICES OF PIZZA & A SODA $6.99 so I said I’ll have the all day special please. The cashier looked at me like I had 3 horns on my head and said ”That special ends at 3!” I showed her their menu and she again looked at me like the horns were still there and said “That was printed by mistake!”
Now mistakes happen, and I can completely understand. However if YOU advertise on a sandwich board this special and YOU know that mistake is on YOUR menu am I asking too much to put on your sandwich board YOUR menu has an error or hell stop giving out the menus that are for your business in error out to people!!! The food is good I must say. However, I'm big on customer service and they lack that. First please hire someone to answer the phone that knows the menu and speak English well. Everything I asked about on their menu they wasn't sure and had to place me on hold to find out if they sold it, when I was ordering from their menu. They asked if they sold salami sandwich ??? You should know what's on the menu you work there....geez. when I asked did the daily special go all day or did it stop at 3:30?....they told me sometimes it goes all day and sometimes it stopped at 3:30... okay?.... I'm still lost and confused by that answer. I'm trying to go easy on them because they new. However, when you charge for hot sauce we have a problem! When it comes to condiments such as mayonnaise, mustard, hot sauce, and ketchup I do not pay and I'm not paying for napkins either which they did not provide me with any. If they have hidden fees on simple things that should be included with your meal they will not last long and will be cancelled eventually. Please let customers know about up charges upfront so it will not be a problem and please improve staff standards especially the ones answering the phone.
