Absolutely hate writing things like this but I have no option. I am a frequent flyer with Dominos. I made the mistake of ordering on a busy night. Understanding I ordered delivery on a busy night, after an hour an 30 minutes, I decided to go in and check. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes while the manager was on the phone. I was alone. Another worker came to the counter, never acknowledged me and answered the phone. She proceeded to walk back without acknowledging me. As a different patron came in, the same worker walked up and immediately asked how she could help him. This would not have been an issue had the employee not walked up, looked at me and ignored me and then proceeded to help the other patron. No hello, no how can I help you, no acknowledgement other than staring. Once I raised my concern about it, she claims she did not know and proceeded to tell me my food wasn’t in the oven yet. She then had an attitude as I asked for the Manager. The Manager who was standing at the front on the phone instead of acknowledging my concern, defended the employee and said they were busy.
Fast food is busy, I understand. Fast food can be challenging, I understand. Simply providing simple customer service, is easy. I happen to be an African American man and the person that the worker acknowledged, was not. Not saying that was the issue but certainly the perception. Read moreMy order was placed with Dominos at 5:15pm. Delivery was to be within 30-35 minutes. My order was shown as being prepared for more than 30 minutes and was shown as coming out of the oven at 5:58pm. Quality check was started and never went to delivery. I called the store at 6:25pm and received an automated response that said my order came out of the oven at 5:58pm. I let the phone ring about 40 times and it was never answered. I received a text about 6:30 that said the driver was on the way. My order arrived about five minutes later. The driver was very nice and apologetic. the food was not hot, but was still somewhat warm. The food was actually very good although the pizza had not been pre-sliced and it was cold by the time we finished the first piece. I think an hour and 20 minutes and the food sitting at the store for 32 minutes after it was ready is not acceptable. Once again, the driver could not have been any nicer than he was, it wasn't his fault that the food was not hot and fresh. I cant leave a claim with Dominos because they still have it as not delivered which prevents me from filing a claim about my food. The Domino’s on Nemo PKWY, Va.Beach is exceptional with their service and the quality of the food we receive. One of the most important qualities of this particular store is their consistency. I can count on my order to not only be delivered quickly but also know I will receive a beautiful hand-crafted pizza with the same abundant quality toppings each and every time. We happen to be creatures of habit and tend to order the same items each time and do have special request on some to either delete an item or put a particular item on half of the pizza. I can count on my food being prepared exactly as I order each time. This is a big deal to me because I cannot say the same for any other restaurant that delivers in my area.
