Original post: My favorite Mexican food in all of Virginia Beach. The service is good. Food is outstanding. They really go the extra mile for large parties. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for Mexican.

Edit: The last two visits (2024), our service was completely unsatisfactory.

The first visit, I ordered my food and when it came out, I told the waiter that what he brought out was not what I ordered. He then talked down to me and said “you ordered this. You told me you wanted this, did you not? This is what I wrote down”! At no point did he write any of our orders down. There was no reason to argue with him since he resorted to anger, so I had him take back my dish and simply did not eat anything. I decided not to say anything. However, my wife did and mentioned what happened to one of the people at the counter when we were on our way out. At that point I just moved on.

The second visit (2024) was on my son’s birthday. We had the same server. I don’t hold grudges, and thought nothing of our last visit. However, it felt like he did. After my son ordered his food, I mentioned that it was his birthday. Our server ignored me and went on asking my wife what she wanted to order. When it was my turn, I said no thank you.

My two interactions/observation of our waiter showed that he was only there to have fun and laugh with his co-workers.

In my opinion, he should receive training on professionalism, interacting with customers, and conflict resolution. People make mistakes. Customers do too. However, conflicts can be resolved through patience and communication. His outburst on our first visit was unacceptable. Him ignoring me on our second visit was unacceptable.

I will not be back to this location any time soon. But, I wish you all nothing...

I do not exaggerate when I say this is easily the best Mexican Restaurant/Grill I’ve been to. As soon as you enter, you’re already greeted with a large bowl of salsa to sample. The waiters were phenomenal in both their coordination and their speed. I have never had 5 different waiters all working at once to ensure that everyone’s experience is going well. One waiter brought us water, another brought us chips when we asked, and another brought our food, whilst one further then collected our plates. It is rare to see a waiter/waitress team communicating so well. The bathroom was clean and well maintained, alongside the tables and chairs.

Now onto the food. The chips and salsa never seem to run out! They’re fantastic, to the point where I had to remind myself that I had food on the way multiple times, and stop eating. Hot salsa was provided in less than a minute upon request, and also nourishing. The meals themselves were equally stellar. Not a single person out of my whole family (six people) had a complaint, including myself. I have never been so satisfied from a meal. My Wet Burrito was $16, well worth it. A Fajita for 2 was $30, and considering how much chicken and steak was on it, definitely a fantastic choice! Strawberry Daiquiri was only $6, and delicious. The food isn’t cheap, but the quality cannot be bested!

Overall, I would come to this restaurant any day I was hungry and available. Any tourist would be lucky to find this place, with good service, food, quality, and environment, you can’t go wrong by coming here! Definitely a staple of the...
