Krispy Kreme — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

This Is a great Krispy Kreme. The donuts are always hot and fresh. They make your box right after you order. The drive-thru line is often long but I usually order on the app and walk in to pick up my orders. I was standing in the wrong line yesterday and one of the employees overheard me talking to the cashier and made my order so it was ready as soon as I got back up to the counter. That is going the extra mile and providing thoughtful service. They also offer to put your order in a bag. They don’t waste bags by automatically bagging your order but they do offer bags. I only take a bag if I’m getting more than one dozen. The bags are sturdy, high quality and spacious enough for multiple boxes to fit in them. I always save the bags and reuse them. They are great fro taking items to the thrift shop or collecting recyclables.

If you get the app, you can earn free donuts and get notifications for their crazy good specials. For instance, the entire month of October, they gave $1 dozen of donuts for each dozen that you purchase. Great for sharing! We took donuts to our housebound elderly neighbors and they were so surprised and delighted. My daughter also takes donuts to work when they have these specials. Her fellow employees love Krispy Kreme Donuts! The Halloween decorated donuts were so 😍 adorable. All of their holiday donuts are, come to think of it.

The employees that work the drive -through speak clearly and some of them are downright joyful. We always have a good experience whether in the drive through lane or inside the shop. I actually called the corporate office to compliment their employees and the person who took my call was shocked. She said people only call to complain and she was very thankful that I actually took the time to call with a compliment.

Just remember, if there is a long drive-thru line, it’s quicker to go inside.

I also want to touch on cleanliness. This location is always spic and spam clean. Even when it is wet outside. The entire shop, including the restrooms are always immaculate. There is a lot of white so any speck of dirt would show. Believe me, this...

The drive thru person got my order wrong on last night…I call in and the manager on duty was very polite and apologetic…she wrote my information down and told me to come in tomorrow to get my dozen of glaze…The manager on duty today was totally different, rude and unprofessional… she refused to accommodate me because I left my receipt in my other vehicle…I told her that all she had to do was to check the book where the night manager took my information in, she refused to do so…so disrespectful…Then she stated “how did she know that I was hear last night” check the book” she refused…then she stupidly said “the donuts that you received cost three times more than what you ordered” I don’t care if It cost 20 times more, I didn’t order those!!! I left and called cooperate… This woman called my cell phone asking me “why did I call cooperate on her and said that she was rude… Me, “get off of my phone”…I have 37 employees and this isn’t proper protocol for an employee to call a customer to question why… she should be fired immediately… I will never patronize this location as long as they have unprofessional...

The doughnuts are great the service is the worse i have received in a long time . The two workers stood by the doughnut icing machine talking for about 8 minutes , yes I counted. The manager was checking in a truck with another worker. All the while I'm standing there in a very small restaurant and no one even said a word to me . Every worker in that store gave me eye contact and no one said "How can I help you" or " I will be with you in a moment" just terrible customer service . And then when I was able to order it took another 5 minutes to get my doughnuts maybe because every time someone came in for a mobile order they stopped preparing my order to get the mobile order . 3 Employees and a manager and it took 13 minutes to get 2 dozen of doughnuts. I only stayed because I wanted to treat my staff for being hard workers and dedicated to the job and the closest store is all the way in VB. This place either needs to retrain or hire more employees that are going to give good...
