Title: Discriminatory and Disrespectful Treatment towards Patrons
I am utterly dismayed and appalled by the appalling treatment that my family and friends received at Champs Sports Bar. Despite spending a significant amount of money on drinks, food, and games of pool, we were subjected to outright discrimination and disrespect.
Upon entering the nearly empty establishment, we were looking forward to a pleasant evening. However, we were immediately met with hostility, as the owner approached us and rudely commented that we were too loud and referred to us as "wild animals." This racist and derogatory behavior is completely unacceptable.
To our utter shock, the owner then proceeded to confiscate the drinks that we had already paid for and promptly demanded that we leave the premises. This blatant act of discrimination has left a bitter taste in our mouths and has tarnished what was supposed to be an enjoyable evening.
It is disheartening that in this day and age, such blatant racism and mistreatment are still prevalent in supposedly public establishments. No one should ever have to endure such degrading behavior, especially when they are paying customers.
I urge the management of Champs Sports Bar to address and rectify this issue immediately. Discrimination has no place in any business, and the actions of the owner reflect poorly on the establishment as a whole. I sincerely hope that they take measures to ensure that no other patrons are subjected to such deplorable treatment in the future.
I would caution anyone considering visiting Champs Sports Bar to think twice, as the discriminatory practices exhibited here are simply unacceptable in any modern society.
Update
In response to the establishment’s response, that is a lie. The place was practically empty when we arrived and remained that way up until the point our drinks (that we paid for) were taken away from us and we were thrown out. And under NO circumstance should any professional, non-discriminatory establishment refer to a specific group of people as wild animals. You’ve made it perfectly clear who your establishment caters to and it isn’t people of...
Read moreI'm writing a review after realizing a couple of things with this restaurant. My 1st day ordering from this restaurant, which was highly recommended from Fairfield Inn. Because they only deliver to Fairfield Inn. Didn't have a problem on my 1st day. Getting my food, it was good, excellent. The second day was when I had a problem. I ordered my food. I was even given a 10% off coupon from the hotel in which the girl knew I was ordering my food over the phone to be delivered. She even asked a girl if she would be able to deliver the food. Then, I was hit without 4% surcharge on using my card. On top of that, the delivery fee is on top of the high taxes of Virginia. Only only for my food to arrive. The 10% coupon was not honored even even though the coupons say big as day, 10% coupon off hotel guest and also said first responders, which I'm also a first responder. Again, the driver calls the person at the establishment, and they said no, I can only use it for dine in only yet. That's not what was said on the phone they knew. I was ordering my food, but what is getting me? Is the extra 4% surcharge after reading some of these comments? I'm really wondering what was the real reason? Oh, and I forgot to mention if you get a to go item. They charge 50 Cent per item that you get. Which really wasn't a problem for me. It was the out of the blue 4% extra charge.
Update 11/1/23 I noticed they had time to respond. But again, their employee offered me to ask about the coupon while taking my to go order and advised me to give the coupon to the driver🙄🙄 Never mentioned this nor on the coupon. But no worries. Two days' worth of business is...
Read moreThe lady and I were visiting the area from Minnesota and were looking for a place to watch the Steeelers - Ravens game. Based on proximity to our hotel and reviews, we picked Champs. When walking in we felt it was up our alley as it was a pretty chill (although busy) yet we were greeted and offered service right away.
Their regular menu had a lot to offer, and then they had another seperate specials menu that created a much broader spectrum of food options than you'd expect in a sports bar. Food prices were very reasonable and their beer prices were even better. We ended up ordering the jalapeño poppers, crab cake sandwich, and a pizza. The poppers were great. Little heat to them and the perfect amount of cream cheese for us. Crab cake sandwich was quite good and a killer deal at $16 along with some very tasty fries. Now the pizza was AMAZING. The crust was perfectly flaky and the sauce was among the most balanced heat/sweet I've had. Their dough, sauce, ranch, and much other items are made in house according to who I assume was the owner who was friendly and attentive.
The service was also great across the board. Kept company with a good group of locals while there as well. If you're in the area and looking for a sports bar with great food and service, this is the...
