I was looking through photos and reviews of food from this restaurant before ordering e-commerce via a 3rd party app, such as UberEATS, and am blown away by the difference in quality of the food that I saw on this page and what I received. First of all, we placed a call to the restaurant before ordering to ask if the enchiladas verdes suiza came with a side of rice and beans (as an entree,) and were informed by an employee they did. In the order we received; they did not. An unfortunate hiccup, but, whatever. Unsure if they were misinformed, or if the consolidator who packed the order was either misinformed/was not aware. The enchiladas were anemic, and missing crucial ingredients inside, featuring only chicken inside the tortilla (no tomatoes, we held the onions), and just the sauce on top (no salad made it into the togo container, despite it being listed as a feature of the entree) Secondly, there is the guacamole. It's very easy to make a decent, serviceable guac. Simply avocado, lime, cilantro. Maybe some salt, maybe some pepper. Pictures on this page show portions of guacamole with all of the above, and also with onions and jalapenos. What I received was mashed up avocado, without anything whatsoever in it- not lime, not cilantro, not even a little bit of salt and pepper, with a portion of luke-warm greasy tortilla chips which were also not seasoned *at all.* 8$ for an (if I had to guess,) 8 ounce soup bowl of solely mashed avocado... The salsa was also soupy, bland, probably nearing the end of shelf life based on the slightly mealy consistency of the tomatoes. By this point, we were just slogging through it to the bitter end. I understand I paid for convenience, and I understand that sometimes it's easy to shirk and send off sub-quality food, especially when it's a third party and the restaurant doesn't necessarily have to interface directly with the guest making the purchase. I hope, sincerely, that the food quality for dine-in is 100% better than the tepid, bland, under prepared, and poorly consolidated order that we received; and if you've read this far: learn from our mistakes if you want to order togo from this place.

My husband and I are visiting the area (staying at North Landing Campground, which is approximately 20 miles from the restaurant). We planned accordingly when placing our take-out order, and knew we would probably have to reheat our food when we returned to our camper. After arriving at the restaurant, my husband had to wait 10 minutes before being greeted. After being greeted, he was given our food, which had been sitting on the to-go table. We checked our order before driving away and realized that our order was wrong. My chalupa was missing and my husband's burrito was made with red sauce rather than white sauce, as requested. We returned the food so it could be corrected. We were given a ground beef filled tortilla (posing as a chalupa) and my husband's burrito was still red. Oh well, it was getting late. Once we sat down to eat, my husband discovered that the chicken that was supposed to be in his quesadilla had flown the coop. We ordered cheese dip and after one bite, we were playing, "What Is This?" The dip tasted sweet and looked frothy. On a positive note, the ground beef was seasoned well and the beans and rice were very good.

Let me preface this review by saying that I would consider my family and I regulars. This is…maybe was… our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. After last night I’m not sure about that.

Last night, May 25, my family and I decided to meet here and have dinner. Terrible mistake. We get there and get seated, the chips and dips are brought to the table almost immediately after sitting down. Everything seems normal. Our waitress comes up and asks us what we’re drinking, I specifically asked for a pink lemonade with no ice; she brings back a pink lemonade with ice. Then we order, I order arroz con pollo, my mom orders carne asada fries sub chicken instead of carne asada, she assures her that’s fine we can do that. That’s the last we seen of our waitress, poof. Our food arrived at the table and y’all let me tell you, the arroz con pollo portion this night was sorry. Usually the bottom of the plate is covered w rice but it was maybe halfway covered, I was going to ask my waitress was I given the lunch portion because it was so much smaller than I remembered it being before… but then my moms carne asada fries came. They did not sub for chicken like she asked and she couldn’t ask our waitress about it because we couldn’t find her! So we paid and left, probably for good. The service here is usually amazing but last night that was the worst service we’ve ever received. She told the woman at the register how terrible our service was and how disappointed she was and she nonchalantly said “sorry.”

Please do better. If we were new customers imagine what kind of first impression that could’ve given. If you’re looking at this review wondering if you should check them out, proceed...

I'm originally from California, even did some traveling around the globe when I was younger including Mexico, this is easily far and above the best Mexican food I've had. It's insanely delicious and the queso you get with your meal lasts long enough to add to your grilled cheese at home for a month. why 1 star? I've been here at least 10 times now, not a single time has our order been correct. Not once. we keep going because it's so good but seriously, not a single time have we actually gotten our order entirely. And we order it to-go and do our best to check it there, but literally every time there has been something wrong or missing. And this is big stuff too, we have several family members with allergies that are getting food they can't eat. we joke when we order from here that this place is "family style" because we all order what we want and then everyone ends up eating off everyone's plate. Tonight we had a friend visit so we tried this out again and low and behold, one of our people with allergies got all food she couldn't eat, and my food entirely was missing. After waiting an hour (we were told 30 minutes) and paying over $80 for 2 out of 5 people to just not get food, and for this to not be the first time this has happened, I have to at some point put my foot down. we have only ordered out and have tried every method of doing so (phone in, online, and in-store) with no luck. If you dine in it will probably be amazing but we're waiting for conditions to improve before then. Just be warned....
