Lolly's Creamery — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

First I want to say Im giving 4 stars because I love Lolly’s and have been going to them since they were just a little cart at my local farmers market ! I love their ice cream and some of the flavors they have created and came out with have been some of my favorite of all time . I also have had their ice cream cakes for special celebrations and they are absolutely amazing! I have given 4 stars because recently the past few times I have gone there hasn't been any flavors besides the few basic normal flavors they always have which is super disappointing! I feel in love with Lolly’s because of their out of the box flavors that were always changing weekly. Some of my all time favorites were Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Banana Pudding, Bunny Batter, O Captain Crunch, and Pot Of Gold! Also the Lolly’s website never seems to be updated with a list of flavors or it’s always months behind . I also would like to suggest maybe offering a few topping selections if there aren’t going to be any special flavors that are offered that day. I know life gets busy especially with having multiple locations but , I don’t want to see the flare that made me fall in love with Lolly’s disappear. I've been a loyal Lolly's customer for a good bit now and have always enjoyed their ice cream and their staff. Recently they went above and beyond for me and I'm so thankful for them. My best friend is pregnant and loves those gender reveal cakes but isn't much of a cake person. We both immediately thought of Lolly's (as they also did her wedding cake, which was amazing btw). Just a few minutes after I put in the cake order I received a text message from the person who would be making and designing the cake just confirming a couple of things. I had to change the pick up date quite a few times on them and they adjusted with grace and even went as far as saying that since they had extra time they wanted to add something special to the cake. The day I picked up the cake I learned they had a freezer malfunction the day prior and had to rush to remake the cake and it was BEAUTIFUL (and also extremely delicious of course). The cake decorator added such cute touches that made their cake cutting so special. Lolly's staff: I appreciate you guys so much and could never thank you enough for the amazing work...

If I could leave half a star review or less then, I would. This place is usually pretty good and staff is usually very nice. However tonight we arrived 25 mins prior to closing and saw they were somewhat busy. We didn’t mind waiting our turn in line and didn’t really think it was a big deal as this seems to be pretty common this time of year/in the area. Not only did they make our order wrong but they told us they close at 9 so if we are still in line by then we aren’t getting served. We ordered a regular size strawberry ice cream on a sugar come (got coffee) and a coffee brownie sundae (got a coffee sundae no brownie and were charged for the brownie). Upon letting staff know it was wrong they simply said oh well we already put up the strawberry ice cream so it’s this or nothing.
