McDonald's — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

Partly my fault for stopping here, but I guess one would assume when you come to McDonalds you would have fast service. I mean I definitely wasn't "loving" my experience at this particular location. I order a simple 3.50 double cheeseburger small fries combo no drink at the kiosk in the store at 1:37pm 7/30/22, my order was finally given to me at 1:57pm. 20 min wait time for a simple combo, meanwhile 3 customers ordered after me and were served before and the drive thru line was moving quite swiftly. Not one employee must've not known how to read a room and couldn't tell that by that point I was visibly annoyed. Finally I went to the counter and asked if my order was lost since it has been 20 mins and I still haven't recieved my food. Once I asked for a refund miraculously my order was ready. Now one could argue that maybe they were waiting on fries to be cooked. No that can't be considering the 3 orders that were rang in after mine and much larger orders were fulfilled and mine was not. I would have asked to speak to the manager, but instead I reluctantly took my food which I knew wasn't going to be hot and left. Considering I am not from the area the possibility of me returning to this specific McDonald's will be very slim if not at all. All I hope is that the staff here learn to read a room, maybe be a little more perceptive. I have learned never to use the convenient kiosk and just wait for an actual employee, perhaps that was were I went wrong to begin with. Friday night 2am I sent my husband to this McDonald's for 2 MacDoubles extra Pickles and add MacSauce. My order had ONLY 2 pickles & NO MACsauce. Thanks for taking 60cents but NOT adding any Macsauce. Again, I'm pregnant I really wanted the Macsauce! My husband wanted to go back but I told him no. Even his order was cold and jacked up too! 11/2/18

Ok So tonight around 10ish 11/3/18 i decided to go back myself because once again I'm craving the Macsauce. I ordered the exact same thing. 2 MacDoubles, extra pickles & add Macsauce. I got to the first window to pay and the young lady repeated my order. That was wrong, so I corrected her and she apologized. Got to the 2nd window to pick up my food and before driving off I checked my order. IT WAS STILL WRONG! No pickles NO Macsauce! I waited at the window for 5+ minutes waiting for the guy to see me. He was dancing, talking basically not paying any attention that I was still at the window. After beeping my horn twice he finally realized I was still there. At this point I didn't feel like talking I simply asked for my money back!

I'm not sure what's going on at this Macdonalds but your customer service has disappeared. I'm totally fine with paying for Macsauce but I'm not fine with just giving my money away without getting what I paid for. It's sad something so simple turned into me not to ever return to your establishment again.

Horrible drive thru. I come here on a semiregular basis and got my order wrong 2 times in the last couple of months. First time the worker just muted the mic on the drive thru and cars were wrapping around the mcd. I proceeded to just pull up and the worker kept saying she’ll be with me in a minute and refused to take my order storming off screaming manager. The manager came and apologized and put my order in. The line was back out to Northampton when I left.

Today I had placed an order and noticed they put my order in wrong for 1 sandwich when they had a 2for 4 special going. I asked that I thought she had the right order because the price was about right for the 2 for 4 special. The employee said I had to buy the extra sand which at full price because it wasn’t ordered right. I pulled around and came into the store and the manager gave me the sandwich.

I think mcd corporate needs to come in this place and properly teach the employees. I understand the job is considered minimum wage and that perhaps they’re not going to recruit great people with that salary I still think they can do better. I went to the Haygood location a few times to test it out and their drive thru is a lot better. They show your order on the screen and I never had any errors. I am planning to go to that location going forward instead...
