McDonald's — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

Went through the drive thru on Sunday, April 29. I ordered a 6pc nugget kids meal, a cheeseburger kids meal, medium fries, medium coke and two apple pies. The guy asked me which sauce I wanted with my nuggets. I said Szechuan sauce. I was looking at the screen. After about 30 seconds he tells me they're out of it. I said "you ran out of Szechuan sauce!?" He says "yes." I told the people with me that he pprobably couldn't find the Szechuan sauce button! I pulled around. Paid. Got to the window to get my food. And asked if I may please have two Szechuan sauces for my nuggets. She said "Sure!" and handed me two of them!!

I get a mile down the street and realize I didn't get my apple pies. Since I was trying to get to my destination, I decided I'd stop back in on my way home.

A few hours later I pull into the parking lot and both lanes are wrapped around the building. I park and go inside. Dining room was pretty empty. I approach the cashier and explain what I ordered and that I'm missing apple pies. She told me fresh ones are coming up in a few minutes so I waited. No problem.

I look over and the "manager" is standing by the fries playing on her PHONE!!!(texting?) After a few minutes she tends to the fries. The ENTIRE time complaining to the girl who helped me about how they were busy yesterday and was boasting about how she locked the doors at 2pm! "She won't finna kill herself because they was short." and "(They) need to fix the problem if they have a problem with it!" I finally got my apple pies and left.

So on the weekend this location advertises that they are open 24 hours drive-thru. Nowhere does it state DoorDash only. Nowhere does it state the drive-thru closes for a certain period of time for us to clean up. So this location is in the city of Virginia Beach. I live in the city of Norfolk. This happened to be one of my favorite locations because the food was always fresh and the order was always accurate. However when I decide to take them up on their 24-hour drive-thru, I am asked are you picking up for door -. I say no man I'm not picking up for door - I'm here to place an order. Oh the drive-through was closed she says. So I said well ma'am your size is you're open 24 hours on the weekend and it is Friday. She then says well we need time to clean up for the morning. Now that may be true I can understand that, however a sign should be placed stating the store will close even though it's open 24 hours for cleanup. Not only did you waste my time, I wasted gas to come to this establishment from a different city because I thought I like the service. So I guess this means I must find a different location because I am not in the habit of wasting gas or time on anyone or anything. So yes this really pissed me off mind you it was July 4th weekend. So yeah I hope the manager or whoever runs the review department sees this review and...

McDonald's you have to do better. I was almost just involved in one of those viral McDonald's incident where people are throwing Fists. Several of your staff are so unprofessional. And customer service is nowhere to be found anymore. Myself and another lady were told that we weren't going to get any service nobody was going to talk to us because we were waiting on delivery orders and another lady was told three times that they were going to get the manager to help with her order and then everybody stood around and just laughed and giggled. When the lady asked again for some help, your employees started screaming and cussing at her and then it was on. Even as staff was holding this employee back, they were all laughing like it was a big joke and still nobody came up to see what she needed or what the rest of us needed. The manager didn't seem to have any control just kept yelling for her to shut up. In a day and age when people think they deserve more money to work at places like McDonald's, first thing is you have to actually work and the second thing is I'd rather you go fully automated then have people like this work there.
