Parlor Doughnuts — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

I wanted to provide a higher score because I love the variety and quality of the vegan doughnuts here but I've been here twice recently and all that was left were chocolate doughnuts, not because you sold out that day but because no one has ordered the vanilla vegan, gluten free batter for the doughnuts I usually have. I've been in love in love with this place since my husband brought some sweet treats home for myself and our little one. I was just here on June 19, 2025 and was advised that you were out of vanilla but a sweet clerk advised that I try the chocolate, so we did. It was good but not what we came for. The floor was also so sticky that my shoe came off when I went to the restroom, it stuck to the floor. Please do better with cleaning the floors, for my feet to stick like that was unacceptable. Today I ventured back thinking you'd have vanilla back in stock so I could get the vegan, gluten free variety that I like but still no vanilla, again because you have not restocked. I was offered the chocolate again but this time I did not want it. I don't want to keep coming here expecting the doughnuts that I love and you don't have it and don't know when you'll have it. I don't think that's a great business model, as a result of this I went to another vegan spot up the street from you. It would be nice to know when you'll have the vegan gluten free vanilla back in stock but it will probably be a while before I make that trip due to the fact that I have done it twice now and not been satisfied. I am fair so if I come in again and the floor isn't sticky and you have what I'm looking for ill revise this. I came this last time because my niece and nephew were in town and my daughter spoke highly of your doughnuts, so it was disappointing to everyone. I hope this feedback helps and that you restock soon because I'm sure I'm not the only one who has experienced this since the lapse in product...

Where to start? Hmm.. I first enjoyed a parlor doughnut at the beach location. Then the blvd location opened and it was very convenient to visit this location. Both are amazing. But let me highlight this location for now.

I’ve been to this location at least a handful of times. Every visit thus far has been great. In and out, kind staff. Great doughnuts. What more could one ask for?

Well let me tell you, today’s visit was by far the BEST! Allie was the very very beautiful and friendly, welcoming, charming, young lady who helped me today. She started off welcoming me with a genuine and happy smile and greeted me although she was helping others. I love when staff acknowledge customers upon entry. Personally, to me, it makes me more patient. They could take however long with the customers because they saw me, they greeted me, and I feel assured that they will take care of me as soon as they can.

When I had the pleasure of being next, she instantly complimented my newest tattoos and other items I had with me. She engaged with me, welcomed me, complimented me, and proceeded to provide the best customer service gathering all my items quickly and efficiently.

The cherry on top? She made the BEST maple brown sugar latte I have ever sipped on! I had to calm myself from inhaling it in one gulp. I needed to enjoy it for as long as I could. ALLIE YOU ROCK! I hope I see you again.

Thankful for another doughnut place nearby, but my waistline is not. Tried the new spot on Valentine's Day. I ordered a dozen online the day before for pickup at 7AM. Walked in at 701 and it was ready. I didn't stay, but will be back because the decor in here is a vibe, and there was a barista working, so I'll be back to try the espresso. We had the pre-picked dozen, I forget what it's called, but 12 different doughnuts. Having never tried a croughnut (sp?) I have nothing to compare it to, but I'll just say that my first impression is a fresh mix between the Krispy Kreme yeast doughnut, and a cake doughnut, so the best of both worlds. You can taste how fresh the dough is. The toppings are great, whether it's chocolate, vanilla glaze, raspberry, it's all good. I'm a firm believer that the toppings don't matter if you don't get the dough right, but they know what they're doing here. Great job.

For anyone that may complain about the price, do some.comparison, and you'll see that a dozen at Parlor is comparably priced to any novelty doughnut shop (that does not include Krispy Kreme or Dunkin, even though those are about as expensive and not nearly as good). Try it at least once, even if you are vegan or keto, they have doughnuts for you. 5/5, will be back. Welcome to...
