Today Roast Riders is going to get five stars for me because of everything. From the moment I walked in to the time I got to the counter to order I knew it was going to be a great visit. My Barista was so knowledgeable about what I wanted while he was attentive to what I asked for and gave me his undivided attention; all I had asked was, " I'd like something different; I'd like the seasonal coffee...what are you seasonal coffees?" Jariss directed me to the digital menu on the wall above the counter that shows whatever the seasonal coffees are. It will also indicate the type of roast it is. I then requested a light roast because I wanted something strong enough I wouldn't have to mask the true flavor with. Jairis explained to me that this Ethiopian coffee had a combined taste of berry and boldness to it. I then asked about the quiche and he strongly recommended it. Jayris stated Pies by Vi was the local business that supplied the quiches. Kudos for this local Diamond. don't forget to leave a nice tip (Please forgive me barista if I spelled your name incorrectly and good luck with your studies!) ** posted below is the delicious seasonal Ethiopian coffee with a tasty bacon quiche made from Pies by Vi, a local business in...

Let me start out by saying, I used to frequent roast rider at least 2-3x a month. Every time my friend and I were in the Hilltop area, we would stop at roast rider before we went shopping. Service was always lovely prior to this incident. However, I had an experience there about a month ago when I went in with my mother that will result in my never coming back to roast rider. I ordered an iced vanilla orange blossom oat milk latte for myself, and an iced oat milk chai with hazelnut syrup. I have worked in the service industry since I was 14 years old, and never seen this level of arrogance and attitude over a couple of drinks. I was handed back two drinks with incorrect/no syrup, and told by the barista in a sharp and condescending tone (no nametag but later found out his name was Christian) when I politely asked for the syrups I ordered to be added: "You never said that. I can PROMISE you you never said that." Sighed heavily, fixed both drinks with a puss on his face. Could not have been more rude or condescending about fixing a...
Read moreI don’t get why this cafe is overrated. Maybe everyone’s experience depends on the mood of the barista. My friend suggested to meet at this place. When I walked in with my two boys, the staff didn't welcome me, even when I was standing in front of the counter. Two men were talking and didn't pay me attention for a very long time. When one of them finally was ready to take my order, he didn't say welcome and waited impatiently. The food options were very poor. I bought three different foods, none of which were fresh. The attitude of the staff was weird. The cafe was not very crowded, and even though they saw me with two kids, they kept chatting behind the bar and showed me our drinks when they were ready. I walked up and down until all my orders were on our table. I also want to mention that the barista’s reaction to my accent was quite rude; he asked what I said multiple times and loudly. I’ve lived in the US for a long time; I haven't experienced this...
