I was very impressed with the layout of the interior of this Starbucks. It is very large and open and set up perfectly for community gatherings. I would highly recommend meeting others for business meetings, as well as getting some remote work done or studying as it has comfortable chairs as well as seats at tables. There is also a conference room that I believe is able to be rented out with a full projector for bigger meetings.
The only thing that is concerning as a member of this community and a believer in the truth that is Jesus Christ and him crucified, as I was confronted by some of the employees and the manager. Their claim was that not only was I not allowed to speak the truth inside of their establishment, I wasn't allowed to practice true Christianity either. Going so far to say that me speaking things that are true and plain, (for all who have eyes to see to see), was restricted as they wanted to teach lies and enable the delusions of the younger generation.
Essentially a transgender employee engaged with me for a moment as I was discussing Jesus Christ, and then abruptly walked away saying something along the lines of "because of people in YOUR religion."
I was then approached by another female barista who told me I had to refer to "Veronica" as a she, even though that entire transgender subject hadn't even come up in our conversation. I pointed out that I personally had done nothing wrong to "Veronica" and regardless of what others had done, I personally was seeking reconciliation with them and restore our relationship.
This was unacceptable to the employees and the manager who confronted me and insisted upon me that I had to call Veronica a "her"— again ignoring the core issue at hand: an employee unreasonably walking away from a customer mid conversation, without having a reasonable conversation to keep things cordial and polite.
When I presented the manager about their unjust practices of telling US citizens what they had to say, I was asked to leave the premises. I protested a bit trying to explain how uncomfortable it makes me as a citizen with liberty to come into a business and have the business tell me what I have to say. Or even treat me with contempt, just because of the actions of others who may have acted in the name of "Christianity.' Regardless, the manager didn't want to justify her prejudiced decision, and being unwilling to diligently investigate the situation and restore the relationship between Veronica and I, I left.
Later, I called the District Manager, Jessica, and after explaining was invited back. When I came back, there was no further issue, but I hope to make amends and have a cordial conversation with "Veronica" so that we as neighbors can know each other better and not let prejudice or ignorance get the best of us in the community. Love bears all things, hopes all things, endures all things, love never fails.
So all in all, I would recommend the establishment for it's facilities, but I am very disheartened that it seems like the misguided ideas of children are ruling—where sound wisdom, truth, and righteousness have no place to be spoken openly inside of this particular Starbucks.
Truly, truly, Nations cannot be established by delusion nor vanity. Calling young men "women" or young ladies "men" is neither good, nor truthful. Look up #detrans for more real stories. People struggling during a confusing time should be given love and support, not life-altering surgeries that cannot...
Read moreCustomer service was very lacking today. After waiting for a long period of time for our order to be ready, we inquired where the food item was. (People who ordered after us had received both their drink and heated food orders) We were told, by the person who took our order, it was coming. When the gentleman who took our order was about to heat the item up, he was informed by another staff member the item was not rung into the system correctly and did not charge us for the item. Instead of compensating the item due to our long wait and having to seek out the staff to ask about the item, she proceeded to insist to him the item had to be reordered and charged. We told them we did not want the item any longer and I reminded the girl behind the counter it was poor customer service in how this was handled. This was a perfect opportunity to take care of the customer to gain a faithful patron. There are 3 Starbucks locations within a very short distance from me...one right across the street from this one...not sure I really desire to come back if that is how they treat...
Read moreI have found my new favorite Starbucks location. Located in landstown by Zoom Room, not to be confused with the other Starbucks near chipotle. The building is fairly new, but it is also huge! They have a meeting room with a large projector that can be rented out for business meetings or small gatherings.
The inside has tables and a large set of booths in the center. The tables are nice , and there are so many that it fits a nice group of people comfortably even in todays conditions. The staff here is friendly , accommodating, and pretty fun. Starbucks are often clean but I saw two people giving this place a wipe down while it was already spotless.
I ordered a vanilla sweet cream cold brew with sweet cream foam on top. Of course it was delicious. It’s always good to find a Starbucks that knows how to make your favorite drinks right, hopefully as I keep coming back they make it great consistently. Definitely pay this Starbucks a visit and take a trip inside to see how deceptively massive it is for...
