Read moreRating a Mexican restaurant is always hard for me. My dad is Mexican. This is the food that I grew up eating at home and when we would go see my grandmother in Az or the extended family in Mexico. That said, I am always pleasantly surprised when I find a restaurant that reminds me of my childhood. This restaurant, though the owner is from a different state within Mexico then my family, the food is very similar. The margaritas are good. My wife’s piña colada was good too. The chips, I not sure if they were freshly made, but the salsa and spicy ranch were good. I had the chicken and stake fajitas and my wife had the combination plate of chicken quesadilla & beef taco. I should add that the refried beans didn’t disappoint - reminded me of what I grew up with. For dessert we had the flan (very good). (By the way, if you are looking for a quite place to eat, please note, this may not be...

The food was served by another person. I tried their Mexican pizza which came with a side of guacamole and another of some white sauce. I also had a beef taco on the side. The date had a burrito of sorts smothered in queso and some other sauce.
The food was okay but not great. There was no zest to it. Taco Bell's recently returned Mexican pizza is much better. In fact I have to say I liked Guadalajara much better and not sure that I'll be back.
Oh, the check was delivered by a...
