Tried this place at the recommendation to a popular social media influencer. Decor is very inviting. We did not have a reservation (appears they are recommended) we were still seated right away. Once we were see seated we were brought water. There were 4 servers and 1 main bartender behind the bar who was running drinks like Flo-Jo. We watched and waited while the staff walked past us like 8xs. After about 25 min. Same gentlemen who sat us. Ask if anyone has taken our order. We said No!! So he takes our drink order and we made a wise choice to order food at the same time as I knew this was gonna probably be and even longer wait. The drinks were very GOOD!! We order 2 drinks only 1 came to our table. The 2nd drink was delivered to another table..the wrong table. The customers at that table informed us they were given our drink. ( no apologies or explanation provided by staff) Our missing drink did eventually arrive at our table in the form of a fresh new drink. There was a live reggae singer who was very entertaining. Who provided a great vibe. Food did take a while. There wasnt any updates or apologies for the delay. Food was good. We ordered the Oxtail sliders and Birria Empanadas and Mac n Cheese. We ordered the Biscoff Cheesecake which was also good. After listening to 2 more selections from the entertainer, we were ready for our check. We'll that took 40 min. Finally flagged someone down. I had my card ready as I wanted to give the check right back so we wouldn't have to wait any longer. We'll thay plan was foiled as check was put on table and they walked away. No one came back to get the check for 25 min. I got up went to the bar to pay check. Walking out did cross my mind although I would NEVER!!. I could see this being a problem for Central Shore if they don't make any changes and fast!! As we walked out to the car the server who seated and took our order was bartending the outside bar...
Read moreSaw this restaurant on Instagram & decided to give it a shot. It has a cute & cozy vibe as far as decor and the music selection was ok. HOWEVER.... It was a waste of time and money. I don't have one positive thing to say. We were told to seat ourselves & she would bring us menus. Well, she took about 20mins to get us a menu - only AFTER being asked again. I went for happy hour and ordered happy hour items. I got an orange crush to drink, as well as an oxtail slider & cajun butter wings to eat. The orange crush - which is a Virginia Beach STAPLE - was AWFUL. It took another 30mins to arrive, and it was simply watered down Sprite & some type of juice; I'm not even positive that it was orange. It was only $5, so I decided to reserve judgment. I flagged down the waitress to place a food order, because while it was pretty empty upon our arrival; it was getting quite full at this point. The food arrived a staggering 50mins later. My chicken must've been cooked first and just set aside because it was cold. Not warm, not room temperature, but COLD cold. On top of that, it wasn't cajun butter; it was just butter. Who wants some cold, soggy butter drenched chicken wings? The slider was no better. It too was cold & greasy. After letting the grease drip off, the FLAVOR was good, but that's all. I couldn't get past the negative though. I forgot to mention that before we ordered, the waitress asked if we wanted 1 check or 2. My friend told her just 1. Yet when we finally got the check, it was 2 separate checks - on which they charged both of us and "service fee" for using a card. When asked about it, she did offer to change it; but it took so long to get the check that we didn't want to chance it. NO I WOULD NOT GO AGAIN & NO I DO...
Read moreThis was our first time visiting this establishment and our experience was beyond disappointing. This is not a Caribbean restaurant even though the name states "Caribbean" if a restaurant prides it self as such be sure to have the flavors and spices of the Caribbean in the dishes you are creating. My husband and I visited today 03/06/2025, we ordered blackened salmon sliders and jerk chicken empanadas both was horrible the salmon sliders got a rating of 1 out of 5 and the jerk chicken empanada a solid 0, they food had absolutely no flavor, the jerk chicken had no taste, we can only pray and hope it was chicken to begin with, it should also be noted that jerk is not salt and pepper either it is indeed a unique flavor especially when seasoned properly and quite honestly if it was allowed to return the food order at restaurant due to bad taste and no flavor, seasoning as described I would have definitely asked for a full refund. I definitely would not be recommending this establishment but to the owner and chef's you may or may not be of Caribbean background but my advise to you is if you going to (a) pride yourself as a Caribbean restaurant please be sure to have the spices and flavors to go along and (b) when you are ordering your food supplies be sure to order GRACE JAMAICAN JERK SEASONING BOTH IN MILD AND HOT, or else please stay away from Caribbean cuisine especially Jerk....... that's a disrespect to the Caribbean community who enjoys jerk but especially to the Jamaican...
